#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review

It is Real Nappy Week 2018 this week and what a better time to try some new types of nappies! One of the new nappies I’m currently trying is the Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy. We’ve loved Bambino Mio Miosolo nappies for a long time (they’re my favourite AIO nappies! read my full review of them here) and I’ve had my eye on the Miosoft for a while as I simply love trying new types of nappies especially from brands that I already know and love.

  • How to use it

Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy is a versatile nappy. It consists of a cover and a one size nappy/insert that together make a complete nappy system. There are two sizes of covers to choose from Size 1 for babies under 9kgs and Size 2 for babies over 9kgs.#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

The system is really easy to use! You fold the Miosoft Nappy, add any booster you wish to use (I use the Bambino Mio Mioboost) and a liner, then put it all in the cover and put in on your baby. I use fleece liners and biodegradable Mioliners from Bambino Mio they’re a great size and they stay in place unlike some I’ve tried.#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

  • Absorbency

The inner nappy is made from 100% cotton which is absorbent, not very bulky and beautifully soft on little bottoms!#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

It lasts a long time, especially with an added Mioboost folded into the core.#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

Above, you can see the nappy ready to be put on. There’s a pocket at the front that holds the inner nappy and Mioboost in place. I put the liner on top and don’t fold it in as I find it works best when it’s fully open. You can fold it in over the inner nappy if you prefer.

  • Cover & Fit

The hook and loop fastening is really easy to use and the cover is stretchy and generously sized to fit my toddler comfortably. It’s so easy to get a perfect fit with the Velcro!#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

The cover is made from 100% polyester, laminated to polyurethane which is water-proof and keeps everything in!#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

The cover has some more cool features that I really appreciate:

  • A deep double gusset. This makes ALL the difference and ensures there are no leaks. The gussets are very generous and absolutely brilliant!
  • Double elasticated leg cuffs for a comfortable but snug fit.
  • An extended waist which ensures that the Velcro will never rub on your baby’s belly.

The cover can be used several times if you have a few inner nappies. Just wipe it clean and pop a new nappy in. This only works when your baby has had a wee, if he or she has had a poo, pop it in the wash. The cover has laundry-tabs for the sticky Velcro to protect them in the washing and to make sure no other washing gets stuck on them either.#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

  • Washing

This nappy system washes really well and dries quickly too thanks to the inner nappy that opens up completely. Thin layers dry faster so this is perfect! You can dry the inner nappy in the dryer or on a radiator if needed. Always dry the cover away from direct heat and sunshine and never put it in the dryer.

  • Overall

I really like the Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy and especially love the fit and the design of the cover. I’m already planning to buy a few Size 1 ones when it’s time for Baby No. 3 one day!#ClothNappyMonday – Bambino Mio Miosoft Two-Piece Nappy Review A Mum Reviews

Now is a great time to shop for Bambino Mio nappies as they are offering a whopping 20% off everything on their website to celebrate Real Nappy Week. They’re also available from Amazon.co.uk. On Amazon, the wrap is sold separately from the inner nappies.
