#ClothNappyMonday – ELF Pocket Nappy Review | Little Goat Gruff

Little Goat Gruff is a lovely online shop that sells chlidren’s clothes, baby items, toys, artwork, wraps and baby carriers and cloth nappies. The shop stocks a mix of brand name things, great British designers and Scandi brands in bright, fun colours and exciting patterns.

Today is Cloth Nappy Monday and one of our newest cloth nappies is the ELF Snap Birth to Potty Pocket Nappy in this gorgeous watermelon print. I’d never tried ELF nappies before so had no idea what to expect. I’d been told they’re very similar to Bum Genius nappies fit wise but a much more affordable option. I’ve never tried Bum Genius either but know that they’re very popular. I’m always happy to find more affordable options and at only £7.99, it’s definitely cheaper. Little Goat Gruff is the official retailer of ELF nappies in the UK and they have a large range of designs to choose from.#ClothNappyMonday - ELF Pocket Nappy Review | Little Goat Gruff A Mum Reviews

As soon as our ELF Pocket Nappy arrived, I was impressed with the quality of the fabric. It looks and feels really strong and sturdy. These nappies do not come with an insert you just add one or two of your choice. You can buy ELF inserts here from Little Goat Gruff but I’m just using some charcoal ones that we already had. This review is therefore only about the fit and the quality of the pocket nappy, not the absorbency as I’m using a different brand of inserts.#ClothNappyMonday - ELF Pocket Nappy Review | Little Goat Gruff A Mum Reviews

This pocket nappy can be used from birth to potty (8lbs-35lbs) as it’s fully adjustable thanks to all the poppers! My toddler is 16 months old and we don’t have to make any adjustments to the size.

I love the scalloped tabs that are in a material that is almost diving suit like. They look really cute! The elastic around the waist and the legs is well made and ensures a snug but comfortable fit. We’ve not had any marks or leaks with this nappy which is great!#ClothNappyMonday - ELF Pocket Nappy Review | Little Goat Gruff A Mum Reviews

The inner is really soft and lovely! I have washed this nappy a handful of times now and it still looks amazing! In my experience, the nappies that are going to show wear quickly, do so after the first wash already. The white is still bright white and the inner has not got lots of fluff attached to it. Some nappies are like magnets for fluff but not these ones. I wash at 40-60 degrees.#ClothNappyMonday - ELF Pocket Nappy Review | Little Goat Gruff A Mum Reviews

The pocket is wide and easy to stuff. The inside of the pocket is very smooth so the inserts slide in really well some nappies that we have in the same price range are almost tacky on the inside and really annoying to stuff so this is great to see! There’s also a little cover for the pocket so that the inserts stay in place and don’t poke out of the back of the nappy.

I’m really pleased with the quality of this nappy and the way it fits my daughter. I’ve also spotted the ELF 7 layer All In One Nappy on the Little Goat Gruff website I would love to try that too! It sounds great with seven absorbent layers and if the rest is as good as the pocket nappy, it must be great!

Have you tried ELF cloth nappies?
