Copper Table Lamp with Ice Block Base Review – Valuelights

The latest update to our home decor is a new bedside lamp from Valuelights who specialise in excellent quality, service and value for money. If you go and check out their website, you’ll find lots of classic, modern and fun lamp designs for all styles and ages.

Like many other people at the moment, I have a thing for copper and really like the retro look and feel of shiny copper products, including lamps. It’s just a bit more fun and interesting than chrome. To satisfy my copper craving, I chose the Copper Table Lamp with Ice Block Base for my new bedside lamp. It’s also available in Black and Chrome.

It’s very retro looking yet modern too — just the way I like my interior details. The table lamp has a polished finish and a clear acrylic ice cube style base. I would have guessed it was glass due to the weight of the lamp! The contemporary and beautiful lamp has an iconic fixed arced neck, a dome shaped shade and an in line on/off switch. The light is angled and bright which makes it great for reading. If you want to use it as a mood light, just turn it to face away from you.

The lamp is the perfect size for a bedside table with a height of 350mm, a width of 90mm and a depth of 280mm. The bulb (that you can choose to buy with your lamp) is a G9 cap and an LED Energy Saving one.

The dome has round holes cut out around the top to distribute some light upwards too which is great. The lamp can be a bit front heavy at first due to the cable being a bit stiff when it’s brand new. Once the cable has settled into place in the grove of the ice cube base, the lamp is much more stable.

I love the way this lamp looks on my bedside table! It’s a small update to our bedroom but it’s made a big difference to the overall look and I’m very pleased. I’ve got some other retro glass details on my bedside table — a red candlestick holder and a smokey grey trinket box — and the items go really well together.

Now that I have a good reading light in the bedroom, I can start working through my pile of books that I’ve started to read but not yet finished!
