Doddl Toddler Cutlery Review – Revolutionary Children’s Cutlery

This is one of those products that you don’t realise you need until you use them and see how amazing they are. Doddl cutlery is very different from regular children’s cutlery in many ways.

Doddl cutlery isn’t just a small version of adults’ cutlery like most kids’ cutlery sets instead, it has been designed and created specifically for children after a lot of research.Doddl Toddler Cutlery Review - Revolutionary Children's Cutlery A Mum Reviews

“It only took 40 prototypes, 18 months of research and testing, involvement from a Child Development Specialist, support from 9 UK professional and government organisations and a successful crowd funding campaign to get us to where we are today. We go beyond ergonomic. We are market leaders in educational cutlery for children.” The Doddl Team

The curved contours of the handles are the perfect shape for small hands and really easy and comfortable for toddlers to hold and use, reducing the risk of frustration. The design is meant to work with children’s intuitive grip and offers a natural progression from baby-led weaning. Using cutlery becomes a natural next step with these tools that are right for the job.Doddl Toddler Cutlery Review - Revolutionary Children's Cutlery A Mum Reviews

The handles have soft touch areas for a non-slip grip to help children develop their dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination. The beautiful and functional cutlery sit within your child’s hand with the main body comfortably nestled within their palm. The fork can easily be rotated within the hand to be used for stabbing food or scooping it up.

Both the knife and the fork are sharp to function properly but also certified safe. The knife is my favourite part of the set because it is so different to other children’s knives. It’s large and chunky and the handle is at the correct angle for children to learn how to cut properly. My 3-year-old loves using it and practising cutting her food.Doddl Toddler Cutlery Review - Revolutionary Children's Cutlery A Mum Reviews

My toddler (15 months) uses the spoon and the fork and you can easily see that she enjoys using them more than the other children’s cutlery that we have. You can see that they’re comfortable to hold and she can easily get the food she wants onto the fork thanks to the handle that is perfectly shaped for little hands learning to use cutlery.Doddl Toddler Cutlery Review - Revolutionary Children's Cutlery A Mum Reviews

The cutlery set is made from high quality BPA free materials and can be washed in the dishwasher. They’re made to last and will support children until they are ready for adult cutlery. They’re suitable from 12 months.

I would recommend Doddl cutlery to all parents of young children I wouldn’t be without our set now and I will get another one so that my girls have one each.
