Hendrick’s Gin Review – Limited Edition Secret Order Gift Pack
For me, Hendrick’s Gin is THE Gin. I discovered it five or six years ago and was first drawn to the bottle design but it’s really all about the taste. I first tried it in a delicious G&T in our favourite foodie pub and have loved it ever since.
Sipping on a Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic is of course suitable all year round but it’s a wintery tradition for me.
I associate Hendrick’s Gin with winter time for a few reasons. When I first tried it, it was a wintery evening and soon after I received a bottle as a present from my husband for my birthday which is in the beginning of December. I also think that the dark, short apothecary style bottle looks quite wintery!
The gin inside is a glorious one blended with cucumber and rose infusions after distillation which is a unique method that makes Hendrick’s extra special. It’s a really brilliant gin that I love! It’s so smooth and full of flavour and absolutely delicious!
“Distilled differently to most, all the botanicals are added to the top of the spirit to ensure only the best flavours survive the extraction process.”
Here we have the Hendrick’s Secret Order Gift Pack from 31 Dover and it’s a limited edition release that includes a full size 70cl bottle of this amazing gin and a peculiar teacup and saucer set. It’s very Alice in Wonderland-esque and a lovely little cup to drink your G&T(ea) out of.
“The “Secret Order” is only open to those who are willing to embrace the curiosity that is the cucumber. Hendrick’s gin is distilled from a proprietary recipe which includes traditional botanicals such as juniper, coriander and citrus peel, with an ‘unexpected’ infusion of cucumber and rose petals to create an iconoclastic gin.”
The gift box is stunning and this set would make a perfect Christmas gift for a Hendrick’s lover or a fan of gin who is yet to be introduced to this — in my opinion — very best gin.
My favourite way of drinking my favourite gin is to have a 50cl shot of Hendrick’s in a tumbler with two ice cubes, about 150ml of tonic and two slices of cucumber to complement the cucumber taste of the gin which makes it extra special.

I was sent a sample bottle of this gin for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
