Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread Crunch & Velvet Review + Giveaway

Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread is a delicious and versatile chocolate spread infused with the yummy and unique flavour of diced and ground macadamia nuts which makes it absolutely amazing and very luxurious.

Macadamia nuts are my favourite nuts they are so creamy and tasty and I love that there’s a spread featuring them now. Macadamia nuts are full of important nutrients including heart-friendly monounsaturated fatty acids.Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread Crunchy & Velvet Review + Giveaway A Mum Reviews

Macabella comes in two versions the original Crunch and the new Velvet. Crunch has lovely big bits of crushed macadamia nuts and is such a treat. It reminds me of the middle of Ferrero Rochers but even better because macadamia nuts are much nicer than hazelnuts! The Crunch version has 19.5% macadamia nuts. The Velvet version is made with the same creamy Belgian recipe and the same luxurious cocoa blend as the Crunch version but instead of being crunchy, it is silky smooth. The Velvet version has 15% macadamia nuts. Macabella spreads contain more nuts than any other supermarket spreads.

Both spreads are incredible and the quality is great! You can tell it’s a premium product and it adds a bit of luxury to my breakfast which is very nice. Macabella Crunch was voted by over 14,000 Australian consumers as the winner of the Spreads Category in the Australian Product of the Year 2016.

There are many ways to eat Macabella spreads but my favourite ways are simple on toast or croissants on its own or topped with Dutch cheese or sliced banana. Or just on a spoon but make it a big spoon, please!Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread Crunchy & Velvet Review + Giveaway A Mum Reviews

Many people think that I’m weird because I like chocolate spread and cheese together but it’s delicious so do try it please. I find that creamy Dutch cheeses like Edam, Maasdam and Gouda work particularly well but British favourites like Cheddar, Double Gloucester and Red Leicester work well too. Fresh toast or warm croissants are the perfect base for these spreads. So simple but so nice.Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread Crunchy & Velvet Review + Giveaway A Mum Reviews

Another way to eat the spread that is a bit fancier but also simple is to use it to make truffles! You can find a great recipe here. Something for the Christmas season, perhaps?Macabella Choc Macadamia Spread Crunchy & Velvet Review + Giveaway A Mum Reviews
