Are you struggling to think of a gift for a partner, friend or family member who is expecting a baby? If you’ve not been pregnant yourself, it can be difficult to know what to get to treat a pregnant lady so I thought I’d put together a few gift ideas that I would appreciate being pregnant myself. I’m currently nearly half-way through my third pregnancy, so I have some experience and know what kind of things I’d love to receive as a treat or a gift.

• Pampering Gifts

Pregnancy is a time when it’s especially important for a woman to look after herself and take time to relax and enjoy some pampering. I’m currently using Vie Epsom Foot & Bath Salts in my baths and it’s so lovely. I’ve used Epsom Salt baths to relax and destress for years now and it works really well for me. Epsom Salt baths are completely safe in pregnancy — just don’t use water that’s too hot. A selection of nice bath salts would definitely be a great gift for a pregnant woman.

There are many things that you’re told not to eat when you’re pregnant and we might miss some of these but we can definitely still enjoy some of life’s best treats like chocolate! • Entertainment Gifts

When you’re pregnant, you probably don’t go out socialising as much as before. In the first trimester, you might feel really unwell and be keeping your pregnancy secret, which quite often means avoiding social gatherings. Of course, you can’t enjoy a drink in the pub or in town in the same way when you’re not drinking alcohol and it’s quite likely that you’re too tired to go out like this anyway. Great entertainment gifts that would be very much appreciated by someone who’s pregnant would be films to watch at home (maybe a gift subscription to a streaming service), cinema trips or — once the nausea has settled — meals out or Afternoon Tea somewhere nice.
