Summer Infant Babble Band Wearable Audio Baby Monitor Review

I’ve been looking for a new baby monitor and though I’m more in search of a video one, I was very interested in trying the brand new Summer Infant Babble Band Audio Baby Monitor as it’s different from all other audio baby monitors that I’ve ever seen.Summer Infant Babble Band Wearable Audio Baby Monitor Review A Mum Reviews

The award-winning Babble Band is the very first wearable audio monitor. It’s revolutionary and perfect if you like to get jobs done around the house as your baby/child sleeps as you don’t need to keep moving the monitor around the house with you. The parent part of the monitor is a bracelet so you just wear it and it will alert you of any sounds coming from your baby. Your hands are free to let you continue with whatever you wish to do during your baby’s nap.Summer Infant Babble Band Wearable Audio Baby Monitor Review A Mum Reviews

The Babble Band comfortably fits around your wrist and can be size adjusted. It has a rechargeable battery that last up to eight hours of continuous use before it needs to be recharged. You charge it on the baby unit audio transmitter and it fits neatly on top of it for charging and storage. The monitor alerts you when the battery is running low. It would be good if you could somehow charge it away from the baby unit in case the battery runs low or out when in use.Summer Infant Babble Band Wearable Audio Baby Monitor Review A Mum Reviews

The monitor has a range of up to 800 feet (243 meters) so that should be enough for any normal sized house and garden. Would even work in a small castle, I think!

There are three monitoring modes to choose from:

  • Audio and sound lights
  • Vibration and sound lights
  • Sound lights only

I like that there are all these options to choose from depending on your preference or the activity you are doing.

The Babble Band is really easy to use and perfect if you are someone who uses or wants to use an audio monitor but want the freedom to move around more easily but still hear and monitor your child.

The 100% digital technology ensures an interference-free, private and secure connection to baby unlike many monitors.

I currently still need to use a video monitor with my toddler because she’s sneaky and quietly gets up and out of bed so I need to be able to see her to know if she’s awake, out of bed and where she is. After having stayed in our room for a few months now due to us having guest after guest staying in her room lately, she’s about to move back into her own room. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to use this monitor in a way where I can teach her to tell me via the monitor that she’s awake. I think she’ll be ready for that in a couple of months as her language has developed so much in the past month or so.

If not, I’ll use the monitor with my second daughter. She’s just a newborn now so always with me and usually on me, but time flies and soon she’ll be having regular naps in her cot and then we can use this monitor. It will let me play with my older daughter and still hear my youngest when she wakes up.

The Babble Band is a very clever invention that will make parents’ lives a little bit easier! I recommend that you check it out if you’re looking for a new audio baby monitor. It’s quite affordable too!

The Summer Infant Babble Band Audio Baby Monitor costs around £50 and is available from Amazon.co.uk and other shops that sell baby equipment.

I was sent this item for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
