TotsBots Elements Cloth Nappies & Changing Mat Review

When it comes to cloth nappies, I’ve only used reusable swim nappies on my own children due to not being able to do the extra loads of washing that comes with going completely cloth. I’ve always wanted to try using cloth nappies and hopefully one day, I can try it full time.

Up until the birth of my first daughter, I worked as a nanny and the last baby I looked after was in cloth nappies so I do have experience using them and that’s when I learnt that it’s easy using them, not much messier and they look lovely too.TotsBots Elements Cloth Nappies & Changing Mat Review A Mum Reviews

TotsBots is the UK’s leading and award-winning cloth nappies brand and they make great quality cloth nappies and accessories that are easy to use and come in amazingly beautiful and fun patterns. Their newest range is called Elements and features three gorgeous prints: Bumbrella with rain and umbrellas, Dazzle with happy suns and Soar with cute and colourful kites.

You can find these lovely prints on the Easyfit Star cloth nappies, Wet bags, Wet and Dry bags and Happy Mats (available soon, I think!). We have two of the Easyfit Star nappies in Soar and Dazzle and the Happy Mat in Bumbrella.

Easyfit Star nappies are so easy to use. It’s really the ultimate 1-piece cloth nappy. It’s a high performance nappy that has excellent absorbency, fit and comfort. It looks adorable too! These nappies fit babies between 8 and 35lbs so you can use them for a very long time one size fits most babies. You can adjust the size with the poppers.

They have an absorbent bamboo core and stay dry buffer zones that help keep the liquids locked into the core. These Oekotex certified nappies are made in Scotland and have a waterproof belly area and clever no stitch seems that ensure no leaks. The nappies close with Velcro tabs and the waistline seems really comfortable.

My baby and I love these nappies! They fit so well and are so soft! They don’t leave any marks even though my baby is very chunky and that’s important too as I want her to be comfortable. They’re not much bulkier than regular disposable nappies and they absorb pee well and are very easy to wash and look after. Just wash at 40 degrees for wet, 60 degrees for soiled with non bio powder and avoid using fabric softener. You can tumble dry on low or line dry. I hang them on a radiator clothes airer. Using biodegradable disposable liners makes dealing with poos much easier and less messy too so I recommend getting some of them.TotsBots Elements Cloth Nappies & Changing Mat Review A Mum Reviews

Happy Mats are portable changing mats with a super soft and fluffy absorbent top, a padded middle layer and a waterproof underside. The colourful soft top is so cosy and lovely for babies to lay on. The underside has a gorgeous print and the mat can easily be rolled up and tied together to take with you on the go.

The softness of this mat is perfect for sensitive skin and much nicer than a plastic changing pad or mat. You can wash it in your washing machine at 60 degrees and even tumble dry it on low.

Happy Mats are made in Scotland from Oekotex certified fabrics and the large size of 72×47cm means they can also be used as a play-mat at home or when out and about.TotsBots Elements Cloth Nappies & Changing Mat Review A Mum Reviews

Wet bags or Wet and Dry bags are essential when using cloth nappies away from home as they create a waterproof place for used nappies until you get home and can pop them in the wash. They’re available in the beautiful Elements prints.

We were sent these nappies and the changing mat for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
