Are Boots Beauty Boxes Worth It? (Plus How to Get Extra Discounts)

Are Boots Beauty Boxes Worth It? (Plus How to Get Extra Discounts)
I have just purchased a couple of Boots Beauty Boxes for the first time so I thought I’d share my thoughts on these and answer the question: Are Boots Beauty Boxes worth it? Read on to find out more. Plus find out how I got extra discounts on both boxes!
What Are Boots Beauty Boxes?
Boots has a selection of beauty boxes with different themes, packed with products from popular and often premium brands. They come in a variety of sizes and price groups and with themes to suit different people.
They are ideal for people who like the idea of a beauty box but who don’t want to have a monthly subscription. You know exactly what will be in the box that you’re purchasing too, so there are no surprises (or disappointments!). The beauty boxes from Boots are available online only and available while stocks last. Home delivery is free on orders of £25 or more as usual.

How Much are Boots Beauty Boxes Worth?
Boots beauty boxes are filled with products that total to a much higher value than what Boots charge you for them which is great if you’re looking for a good deal.
Often, you can save several hundreds of pounds compared to purchasing the products separately. How much you’d save exactly of course depends on whether the included products are ones that you would normally buy or not.
Sometimes there are extra discounts available online or via the Boots Advantage Card. Though be aware that some people have experienced problems with getting Boots point boosters when buying Boots beauty boxes so not sure if there’s some kind of glitch going on there.
Boots Beauty Boxes Extra Discounts
Currently, with Money Saving Expert, you can enjoy an extra £10 off the Boots x Cosmopolitan Limited Edition Summer Beauty Edit with their discount code “MSE10”. I used this code myself so can vouch for the fact that it’s valid. This takes the price down from £55 to £45 for a lovely beauty box with a value of £261.20.
It’s also worth checking your Boots Advantage Card offers as I found an offer that gives you 25% off a selection of their beauty boxes. I used this to purchase the Boots SPF & Skin Beauty Box. This offer took the price down from £49 to £36.75. This is an absolute bargain for this beauty box that has a value of £261.79.

The verdict – is the Boots x Cosmopolitan Limited Edition Summer Beauty Edit worth it?
Yes, in my opinion this box is worth it and excellent value – especially with the extra £10 off.
The box includes several products that I would normally purchase, including the Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+ (an excellent face sun cream that my sister introduced me to earlier this year) and the BYOMA Hydrating Milky Toner that my daughter uses regularly.
It also includes several products that I’ve been wanting to try like the Beauty Of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser and the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Additionally, the box includes lots of products that I think look and sound great but hadn’t particularly checked out before that I am now excited to try, such as the Milk Makeup Lip & Cheek Cooling Water Jelly Tint, the Boots Jelly Pop Lip Sleep Mask, and the haircare products.
I wouldn’t normally spend £19 on a lip gloss or purchase a setting spray or a bronze primer, but they’ll be fun to use. The total value of the products that I would purchase is higher than what I paid, making it a good value box for me with a bunch of fun bonus products.
The only product that I will not be using at all is the Floral Street Wonderland Peony as I don’t like the scent. My daughter doesn’t either so we will just give this one away. This product was just a small size at 10ml so I don’t feel like not liking this product has affected the value.

The verdict – is the Boots SPF & Skin Beauty Box worth it?
Yes, yes, yes – especially at further discounted £36.75! I always use SPF50 face specific creams and this box contains several of them from trusted, premium skincare brands which is great. I also like that there are many more SPF products in the selection, making this box excellent for the start of summer (or the summer holidays) or for anyone who’s travelling somewhere warm. It’s recommended to wear sunscreen every day though so the products are great for anyone, really. The minuature SPF products are perfect for putting in your everyday handbag or carry on luggage when travelling.
The box also contains a great range of non-SPF products such as the Lumene Eye Cream, the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream, the Ole Henriksen cleanser, the Grown Alchemist cleanser, and more.
This box is brilliant and I’m very happy with the included products and their excellent value.

Conclusion
Boots Beauty Boxes are excellent value and great for people who enjoy trying new products. Always check the contents of each box in advance online to see whether the selected products are the kind of products that you would normally use or would like to try to see if it’s a good fit for you. It’s only good value if you’ll end up using most of the products of course.
Any products that you don’t want to use, you can give to friends or family, sell on, or donate to women’s refuges, homeless shelters, and poverty-relief charities. You can even do this via Boots.
I will definitely keep my eye on the Boots Beauty Boxes page on the Boots website for new additions to this range and for special offers too!
