#ClothNappyMonday – Ecopipo Newborn Prefolds & Wrap Review

As you probably know, I love testing different types of cloth nappies! I’ve tried many nappies during my nearly three years of using cloth nappies but only have a little bit of experience using prefolds. When my third baby was tiny, Ecopipo asked me if I wanted to try their prefolds and of course I said yes.

Prefolds are great because you can easily adapt them to your child and they dry quickly too as they unfold. You can also reuse your wrap unless it’s soiled, meaning you’ll need fewer nappies than if you’re using pocket nappies or AIO nappies for example.

Ecopipo’s prefolds (from £5.50) come in two different sizes (Small and Large). They are super soft and made of two layers of cotton velour and with an additional layer of super absorbent bamboo as the core. They have a colourful trim for a fun detail.

Prefolds can be used in many ways as they can be folded in different ways. You can use them in wraps or stuff them into pockets too. Below are a couple of resources for different folds that you can try:

I’m not an expert at folds at all but attempted the Angel Wing Fold with my baby girl, using nippas to fasted the prefold and then adding an Ecopipo newborn wrap on top. It worked quite well but I soon decided that a classic pad fold and no nippas work better for me as it’s faster and easier! I love Ecopipo wraps they have plenty of rise poppers to adjust the size and amazing double gussets!

I love Ecopipo wraps and the newborn one was perfect for the early months of my littlest lady’s life. Now, we’re using our old birth to potty Ecopipo wrap that I’ve kept from my toddler. She’s growing so quickly and is no longer in any newborn sized nappies at 5 months. She’s growing out of our Size 1 fitted nappies too and will soon be in all birth to potty.

I’m still using these lovely Ecopipo newborn prefolds in wraps though. They’re so soft and wash and dry so well great for when the weather is not on your side for nappy drying.
