As you might know, I’m a big fan of natural beauty and skincare products. Additionally, you might have spotted dew’s lovely lip kit in my recent Christmas gift guide. In this article here, I will share my review of this lip care set and another product from dew too – their Velvet Hair Mask. Read on to find out more about these products. 

A Quick Introduction to dew

Before we take a closer look at the products, I want to quickly introduce you to the brand dew. The company makes all-natural personal care products that are handmade in small batches in London, UK. The range includes products for hair and skin, all made with high-quality ingredients. Additionally, dew also strongly focuses on using anti-anxiety aromas which is a wonderful touch.

I have wavy/curly hair that tends to get a bit dry (and is a bit damaged!) so I love using a hair mask as a nourishing treat every now and then. The Velvet Hair Mask – Rich Oil Blend from dew sounded just up my street so I was excited to try it.

dew’s Velvet Hair Mask is a deep conditioning, pre-wash treatment that has been formulated to soften dry or damaged hair. It’s an extremely rich formula packed with natural oils:

• Castor Oil for its conditioning and hydrating properties. Leaves hair shiny, soft and smooth, and helps relieve dry scalps too. 
• Sweet Almond Oil which is a softening emollient that helps reduce breakages and split ends. 
• Argan Oil that softens hair, adds sheen, and reduces frizz for hair that looks healthier and stronger!
• Shea Butter that moisturises and nourishes hair from root to tip. It also helps protect against dryness and brittleness, and helps repair damage. 
• Grapeseed Oil which is rich in fatty acids that penetrate the hair cuticle to lock in moisture. This helps prevent breakages and adds shine to your hair.
• Cocoa Butter which is an amazing moisturiser that helps keep oil production healthy which minimises dandruff and keeps hair follicles healthy. This in turn leads to thicker, healthier, and stronger hair. 

This power house of natural oils also hydrates the scalp and promotes healthy hair growth. 

The mask is easy to use too – simply apply the mask all over your hair and leave it work for 15-30 minutes (or overnight). Then wash and condition your hair as usual.

You can use the mask as often as needed to make your hair softer, stronger, and healthier. You can also use a small amount on dry hair before styling to reduce frizz and add shine. 

I love using this nourishing 100% vegan hair mask once a week or so to give my hair a pampering treat. It’s a treat for my senses too as it smells lovely thanks to the essential oils that also help me feel more relaxed.

dew Lip Kit Review

Next, a brilliant natural beauty treat for your lips. This lip kit from dew contains everything you need to look after your lips to ensure that they are polished, nourished and moisturised. The lip-care products in this set are:

• dusk Lip Balm (7g)
• dawn Lip Balm (10g)
• Chocolate Lip Scrub (21g)
• Overnight Lip Mask (15ml)

For daytime, the dawn Lip Balm is perfect. It’s nourishing with Vitamin E and Jojoba oil and leaves lips feeling protected, soft, smooth and supple. It also contains honey and is infused with a refreshing and sweet Orange and Spearmint scent. It comes in a handy small tin that’s easy to fit into any pocket to apply on the go. 

For a nighttime treat for your lips, the dusk Lip Balm is ideal. It also contains Vitamin E and Jojoba oil but is a firmer balm in a sphere shape. Its packaging is very stylish too – perfect for your bedside table! This balm also contains grapeseed oil and is fragranced with relaxing scents of Raspberry and Vanilla to soothe stress, anxiety and sleeplessness.

To help keep your lips feeling and looking healthy, it’s a good idea to use a lip scrub every once in a while. This can help keep pigmentation even and also helps keep your lips smooth. The Chocolate Lip Scrub from dew is the perfect product for this. The exfoliating formula clears away dead skin cells and the natural oils are packed with nutrients and vitamins that nourish and moisturise your lips. The result: soft and soothed lips. The chocolate scent smells delicious and the cocoa actually helps increase elasticity too! The formula also contains vanilla which is calming.

For dry or chapped lips, dew’s Overnight Lip Mask is the perfect treat. It’s also a great product for simply keeping lips in good condition. It’s full of incredibly moisturising agents and best used before bed. The formula combats dry and chapped lips overnight and really locks in moisture for healthy lips. This rich lip mask has a light lemon scent – a calming, anti-anxiety aroma that helps reduce stress and improve mood.

I love all these incredible products but my absolute favourite is dew’s Overnight Lip Mask. It’s such a brilliant product that works so well! It became part of my nightly ritual straight away and has become my favourite way to ensure that my lips are happy this winter! The rest of the products from the Lip Kit help too of course but this one is my winter hero.
