The right clothing and the right footwear are key to being able to enjoy the outdoors in all weathers. Children, in my experience, love playing outside even in rainy and cold weather so it’s important to equip them with what they need to stay warm and dry. Getting cold will quickly ruin the fun! Good waterproofs are essential, especially a good-quality jacket, but suitable footwear is really important too. About The Warm Welly Company

The Warm Welly Company is a family business run by Simon and Cookie Wood. They first moved to Hillfield Farm, Cumbria, in 2000 farming a breeding flock of 300 sheep. A few years later, the family had grown to a family of four, who often complained about frozen toes in the winter. That was the inspiration for The Warm Welly Company – to design neoprene lined wellies for little ones because there weren’t any on the market. The aim was to provide parents with warm and comfortable neoprene lined wellies, so their kids can stay outdoors longer allowing them to enjoy country life and the great outdoors.

During the first ten years, the company was run alongside the farm but now it’s a full time business. Our Experience of Using Warm Wellies So Far

There are different colours to choose from in the kids’ designs: Green, Red, Purple and Yellow for toddlers and infants, and Green and Purple for juniors. 

We went for different colours for all three of my girls to showcase the different options and because it’s more fun. As recommended, we sized up one size which was perfect. The boots fit well but the extra wiggle room is great for warmth and also leaves room for growth.

We’re really happy with the children’s new boots so far. They are easy to put on and take off, and very comfortable to wear. They are easy to move around in too – for playing, jumping, walking and even running. My kids love playing outdoors and I’m very happy that I can now be sure that their feet will stay dry and warm when they’re wearing their warm wellies. It’s autumn now and perfect welly boot weather for playing in the garden and for heading out on woodland walks.

We are also looking forward to testing the new boots in wintery and (hopefully) snowy conditions in a few months’ time.
