Spring is a wonderful time of the year but spring weather can be quite unpredictable – especially here in the UK. One day it can feel like a hot summer day, the next temperatures plummet down to winter numbers. Often the weather shifts a lot in one day too – freezing in the morning, then red hot by mid-afternoon. Usually with a rain shower here or there too… It can all be enjoyable of course as long as you have the right layers so that you can adjust to any changes in temperature with ease as the day goes on.

Layering Up with Cotton Traders

To update my wardrobe for spring, I have chosen a few pieces from Cotton Traders:

My new fleece is in the Bright Olive colourway which is a gorgeous khaki green colour. It’s a unisex design with a soft and cosy lining, adjustable side toggles, a stand collar, and plenty of handy pockets with zip fastenings.

I love wearing green but thought I’d experiment with cobalt blue a bit more this year after enjoying a few blue additions to my wardrobe last summer.

I chose this midi dress and pull-on midi skirt in the same Deep Cobalt colour with a bright green leopard print as I fell in love with both the print and the colour while browsing the Cotton Traders website. Both these items are super easy to style and very comfortable too. Additionally, they are lightweight so ideal for warmer weather and also for compact packing when travelling. 

To go with these, I also picked up this stylish Jersey Bomber Jacket in Deep Cobalt and it goes perfectly with both the dress and the skirt. For cooler weather conditions, my new cosy fleece is my go-to layer though!
