Little Brian Paint Sticks Review – Mini Paint Sticks & Chalk Sticks

For quite a few months, I kept spotting Little Brian Paint Sticks on social media and thought they looked amazing! My kids and I love crafting and painting but I’m not a fan of all the mess that comes with it, especially when using paint.

Little Brian’s motto is “Who said painting is messy?” and their products really ensure that it doesn’t need to be. When I spotted their paint sticks, I thought they must be really expensive but they absolutely aren’t they’re actually very affordable and reasonably priced. When I found that out, I purchased a 12-pack of their original paint sticks from Amazon.co.uk to try them out and my girls loved them so much (so did I), that I soon bought the 24-pack of assorted types too (includes the classic colours plus 6 Glow colours and 6 Metallic colours).

My 5-year-old and my 3-year-old both love painting with their paint sticks and I love that they’re easy for the kids to use, the paint is silky smooth and it dries really quickly too in seconds! The sticks work like glue sticks, so you simply twist it to push a bit of the stick out and then get creative painting your picture. They’re made of recyclable plastic.

The Little Brian range is growing and they have more products available now, including their Mini Paint Sticks and Chalk Sticks which we were sent recently. The Mini Paint Sticks are a smaller version of the original ones that are easy for small hands to hold. They’re pretty much the size of a lip balm. My toddler likes these small paint sticks as they fit her hands nicely. Unlike the original ones, the barrels of these are not coloured and the bottoms are all purple which makes it more difficult to find the colour you’re looking for. For that reason, I prefer the original ones.

The Chalk Sticks are interesting! They look like traditional crayons but can be used for drawing on lots of different surfaces like chalkboards, whiteboards, glass, windows, paper, cardboard and wood. You can then wipe the chalk off from non-porous surfaces with a damp cloth. The colours are like vibrant pastels very pretty and the texture of the chalk is really creamy and smooth. My 5-year-old is a big fan of these! The only negative I have to say is that they are quite fragile and my eldest daughter has accidentally snapped a few already. Maybe they are better suited for slightly older children.

Little Brian has changed painting for us for the better! Now the girls can paint whenever they want as I don’t need to worry about paint getting on the table, floor and walls now that we have this truly mess-free option. Little Brian also makes Fabric Paint Sticks which look amazing! I think we need to give those a go too. I’ve just spotted that they also make face paints.

The Mini Paint Sticks and Chalk Sticks were gifted in return for a review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
