My Carry Potty Review | The Best Travel Potty

With our older two daughters, we didn’t feel the need for a travel potty but we have had one for our youngest for nearly 6 months now and it’s so useful!

We bought the My Carry Potty from The Nappy Gurus. I’m sure you will have seen the fun animal designs that the brand is famous for but now they also have a pastel range of four gorgeous colours (Pink, Blue, Green and Grey). I love the new pastel range as it’s very stylish! We chose the green one as it’s my favourite.

We bought a My Carry Potty to use on family camping trips and any other longer outings but we also use it at home in our downstairs bathroom. It’s really handy to have a potty upstairs and downstairs so you don’t have to run up and down all the time. Upstairs, we use a Pourty potty which we’ve had for all kids – it’s a brilliant design that makes emptying the potty so easy and mess-free. It’s not really small enough to take with you on adventures though and it’s not got a lid or a leak-proof design like the My Carry Potty.

The My Carry Potty is a lightweight, but sturdy, travel potty with a carry handle that makes it easy to move around – for toddlers too! It doesn’t require any bags or liners which makes it waste-free. After use when out and about, close the lid until you get to a toilet where you can empty it. The lid is leak-proof so you don’t need to worry about any mess. There’s a rubber seal and click-shut lid with a twisty lock to keep contents contained.

It’s not as easy to empty as the Pourty potty but it’s easy to wipe-clean or rinse off in the shower at home. You can clean it with hot, soapy water and spray steriliser but you shouldn’t immerse it in water and you shouldn’t use bleach as this could damage the potty.

Other features include an extra tall splash guard to make it suitable for both boys and girls, non-slip feet and a large comfortable seat for small bottoms. The My Carry Potty is suitable from 15 months onwards. My youngest is now 3.5 years old and is comfortably using it still.

We’re really happy with our My Carry Potty and use it all the time at home and for any trips that we do. It’s definitely a potty training essential for us! Even when our youngest starts using the toilet instead, I think we will still keep the My Carry Potty in the car for emergencies.
