My Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2018 – With a Bit of An Eco-Friendly Twist

Valentine’s Day is approaching quickly and if you’re thinking about treating a loved one to something nice, you might find a suitable gift in this gift guide. This year, I’ve tried to choose gifts that are eco-friendly, good quality and made from materials that are long-lasting, bio-degradable like wood or recyclable like glass and steel.

Eco-Friendly Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

  • For the One Who Loves a Soak

If your loved one, loves nothing more than a luxurious bath, Lush is the place to go for bath bombs and bubble bars that make baths extra special. As always, Lush have a bunch of new products for Valentine’s Day so head into your nearest shop and pick the ones you think smell and look the best. I’m always really happy to receive Lush bath bombs as a gift as I love a fancy bath!My Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2018 - With a Bit of An Eco-Friendly Twist A Mum Reviews

  • For the One Who Has It All

If the person you’re buying for, is the kind of person who already seems to have it all, then I would suggest looking to get him or her personalised Valentines gifts that are always very special to receive. A bit of bubbly is a classic Valentine’s Day drink to toast with and what would be better than a gorgeous personalised Prosecco bottle in a beautiful gift box?

This one is from GiftsOnline4U and it can be delivered in different types of boxes or gift bags and you can add little extra gifts too. The pewter label is engraved with your personal message and it looks so good! A really pretty and special gift that I’m sure any Prosecco lover would be happy to receive. Mine came with some sweeties as well, which is a great addition to a Valentine’s Day gift. I really like the wooden gift box that can be reused for storing things and the gorgeous bottle can of course be used as a vase or candle holder when you’ve drunk the Prosecco. That way, there’s no waste and you can enjoy the lovely bottle design and personalised label and message for a long time. The Prosecco itself is delicious too, by the way, which is of course important!

  • For the One with a Sweet Tooth

Chocolate is a classic Valentine’s Day treat and gift and I always think of white chocolate with strawberries around this time of year. Lindor Strawberries & Cream Truffles are one of my favourites but I also really like Divine’s White Chocolate Bar with Strawberries. It’s Fairtrade and organic and available in most supermarkets too. • For the One Who Loves Flowers, But Hates Waste

I love flowers but I don’t like that most flowers don’t last very long at all. I feel like it’s a waste to pick them only to throw them in the bin or on the compost a few days or so later. That’s why I love this wooden flower from Kent-Made so much! It comes with a Valentine’s Day greeting laser cut/engraved onto the flower and a tag that you can have personalised. It’s a really sweet and beautiful gift and this flower lasts forever!

  • For the One Who Loves Sustainability
Coconut Bowls are the perfect gift from nature. Handcrafted from reclaimed coconut shells and made organically, without the use of any chemicals. The trendy, natural bowls can be used for just about everything, from smoothie bowls to platter bowls they’re a unique, natural gift that won’t go to waste. • For the One Who Loves a Tipple

Does your loved one love gin? If so, this Pinkster Gin Berry Bundle gift set consisting of pink gin and gin-soaked raspberries would make such a fun gift! It’s available from 31Dover who have a bunch of great boozy Valentine’s Day gift suggestions. A classic for me, is Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur which comes in full-size bottles or as miniatures and is a delicious liqueur that you can add to a glass of bubbly to make it taste like raspberries and go a beautiful pink.

  • For the One Who Loves a Home-Cooked Meal

For someone who loves home-cooked food or to cook themselves, a treat from Le Creuset is always a good idea! Why not make some decadent chocolate puddings in these adorable little Le Creuset Stoneware Heart Ramekins and serve them after a romantic meal? If your Valentine loves to cook, then why not treat them to the large Le Creuset Classic Cast Iron Heart Casserole that comes with a free heart ramekin. It’s only £99.99 on Amazon.co.uk at the moment which is amazing value! A smaller cooking related gift would be this adorable heart-shaped bamboo cooking spoon.
