Naked Whey Review – Clean Grass-Fed Whey Protein Powder

Naked Whey Review – Clean Grass-Fed Whey Protein Powder | AD
Not all protein powders are created equal and consumers have different preferences too, of course. If you’re looking for a clean whey protein powder, then the range of protein powders from Naked Nutrition could be just the thing you’ve been looking for.
In this review, we’ll have a closer look at Naked Whey Protein. We’ll explore the benefits of this protein powder and how to consume it, along with some tasty recipe ideas. Let’s get started!
Why Choose Naked Whey?
You might be wondering what makes Naked Whey different from other brands of whey protein powders.
Most whey protein powders on the market contain a bunch of additives such as artificial sweeteners, added sugars, colours, flavourings, plus other unnatural additives to aid mixing. The production country/origin of ingredients is usually not disclosed to consumers either.
Naked Whey is different. The Unflavoured option contains only 1 ingredient: grass-fed whey protein. That’s it – nothing else. No additives, artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours.
The two flavoured options are Chocolate and Vanilla and these are flavoured with natural and clean ingredients. The Chocolate flavour contains just 3 ingredients: grass-fed whey protein, organic coconut sugar, and organic cacao. The Vanilla one has just 3 ingredients too: grass-fed whey protein, organic coconut sugar, and natural vanilla flavour.
Additionally, Naked Whey is sourced from small non-GMO dairy EU farms where cows are grass-fed, free roaming, and raised without growth hormones.
These protein powders are ideal for people who are aiming to eat a clean diet, free from additives and artificial stuff. Each serving contains 25 grams of protein, and 5.9 grams of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs).
I’ve been testing Naked Whey – read about my experience below.

How I’m Using Naked Grass-Fed Whey Protein Powder
I first tried protein powder a few years ago and have tried a bunch of different types so far. I don’t use protein powder every single day but a few times a week to help reach my protein goals. I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t eat eggs so my diet can do with some extra protein. Also, I’m in my late thirties and aware that now is the time to ensure I do what I can to build and keep muscle through what I consume and with regular strength training.
To create a simple protein shake, you can simply mix 2 scoops of Naked Whey protein powder with milk or water. You get a scoop included in each tub which makes it easy to measure. Below, I share my favourite ways to use Naked Whey protein powder.
Protein Smoothies
My favourite way to use protein powder is to make a quick smoothie using milk (or a mix of water and milk), Naked Whey, and fruit (bananas or berries). I use a hand blender for a super smooth shake.
Here are my go to flavour combinations:
- Chocolate Banana Protein Shake: 300ml of milk, 2 scoops of Naked Whey Chocolate, 1 banana. Optional: 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.
- Berries & Cream Protein Shake: 300ml of milk, 2 scoops of Naked Whey Vanilla, large handful or fresh or frozen mixed berries.
Protein Iced Coffee
Another favourite of mine is to make protein iced coffee. It’s so easy and so delicious for a coffee lover like myself. The Naked Whey Vanilla is perfect for this.
How to make protein iced coffee at home:
I use smooth instant coffee as this dissolves the best in a cold drink. Because I like my coffee strong, I add a couple of heaped teaspoons of coffee to a mix of cold half and half water and milk (around 200ml in total) and 2 scoops of Naked Whey Vanilla. I like to use my Kilner breakfast jar that doubles as a leakproof shaker so I add everything to this, give it a stir, then add some ice and shake it vigorously. You can use a blender too, of course.
Protein Yoghurt
If you like to eat yoghurt for your breakfast, you can use this as a protein boost opportunity. Natural yoghurts are already a good source of protein but a couple of scoops of Naked Whey will make it even more protein-rich
I find that Vanilla protein works really well in yoghurts both for breakfast (with fruit, nuts and seeds, and a healthy granola) and for making a dessert such as frozen yoghurt or a cheesecake style treat by mixing thick Icelandic yoghurt with Vanilla protein powder and topping it with berries and something crunchy!

Protein Snacks
Most protein bars and protein snacks are filled with strange ingredients, so, as per usual, it’s best to make your own. For a tasty snack to eat at home or on the go, I like to make homemade protein energy balls or homemade protein bars.
I don’t use a particular recipe for this – I just wing it and use whatever I have at home that I think will work together.
I do always use some kind of nut butter, ground almonds, vanilla extract, and protein powder (usually Chocolate flavoured) as the base. Other ingredients that I like to use include oats, desiccated coconut, cashews, seeds, chocolate chips, plus a spoonful of healthy chocolate spread or honey for sweetness if I fancy it.
To make homemade protein snacks, you simply mix ingredients until all is combined and you have a consistency that you can shape into balls or bars. Once shaped, store in the fridge in an air-tight container. Bars can be wrapped in a bit of parchment paper for easy storage and easy eating on the go.

Conclusion
If you’re looking for a clean protein powder, then give Naked Whey a go. It’s free from all the artificial stuff, tastes great and is very versatile as you can see above.
Collaboration.
