Trying Aquabeads for the First Time + New Aquabeads Collection | AD
The kids and I have noticed Aquabeads in adverts on TV and on the shelves in toy shops for quite a while but hadn’t tried them until this month. We’ve been testing some of the new additions from the 2025 Aquabeads Collection – the Aquabeads Beginners Craft Studio and the Aquabeads Sundaes and Sweets Craft Kit. Read on to find out more about these two sets and about how we got on trying Aquabeads for the first time.

What are Aquabeads?
Before we look at the new Aquabeads collection, let’s look at what Aquabeads actually are. Aquabeads us the original stick-with-water bead brand. The product was originally developed in 2003 and Aquabeads products are now sold in more than 45 countries. The unique thing about Aquabeads is that they don’t require any heat or messy glue to stick together – only water which makes it easy for children to enjoy the whole creative process from start to finish.

The mess-free kits are suitable for children aged 4 years and above. They help children express their creativity, while also developing skills such as dexterity and patience.

There is a wide range of themes for children to choose from (animals, mythical creatures, flowers, characters from their favourite films, sweet treats and more) and children can of course come up with their own designs too and freestyle when getting creative with Aquabeads.

New Aquabeads Collection for 2025
The new Aquabeads range includes lots of fun and exciting new sets designed to inspire budding artists with endless creative possibilities. The sets have been designed to be easy for children to use and feature new vibrant colours too.

Aquabeads Beginners Craft Studio
This large set is the perfect introduction to Aquabeads with plenty of beads to get creative with. This comprehensive set includes 900 beads in 25 different colours, including shiny beads, star beads and the new watercolour beads.

The kit also comes with fun templates that you can follow if you want to. The set becomes a crafting station with its sliding storage tray for organising the beads and the new pop-up tray for easy crafting.

Aquabeads Sundaes and Sweets Craft Kit
The Sundaes and Sweets Craft Kit is a deliciously fun craft set that lets children create stunning 2D and 3D designs of scrumptious sweet treats, including cakes, ice creams, doughnuts and sundaes, as keyrings and trinkets to display.

The set includes 700 beads in 31 colours, including the new watercolour beads, shiny beads, and star beads. It also includes all the accessories you need to make keyring sundaes, rings and more.

This set is ideal for anyone with a sweet tooth – there are so many cute ideas to create in this set and the mini sundae glasses are so adorable!

The new range also includes:
- Aquabeads Watercolour Beads Pack with 800 beads in eight stunning watercolour shades in round and star shaped designs.
- Aquabeads Mini Creations Kit which provides an affordable, entry level craft experience. This mini set includes 120 shiny and star beads in 13 colours along with a tray, water spray, and design templates. A great pocket money treat and perfect as an introduction into the world of Aquabeads.
- Aquabeads Pop-Up Tray. The new pop-up tray is also available to purchase separately for dedicated Aquabeads fans. To use, simply spray water on the creation, wait for it to dry, then pop it up effortlessly.

Conclusion
We found that it was quick and easy to learn how to use Aquabeads. All three of my girls love the two sets that we have and enjoy following templates and coming up with their own designs. Above you can see some creations by my eldest – she made these characters from Super Mario and Zelda using Aquabeads! We also love the fact that Aquabeads are mess-free and don’t require any heat or glue, making it so easy for children to use them independently.
Aquabeads products are available now from Amazon.co.uk, Argos, John Lewis, and Independent Stores.
