We’ve been in our “new” house for nearly seven years now. This year I have started noticing some things around the home, especially in the kitchen, that have needed updating. Our kettle needed replacing, our toaster stopped working properly, and our kitchen bin was broken. Unfortunately some things are not built to last. The silver lining is that sorting out these practical home updates have made me enjoy our kitchen space more – especially when the replacements have shown themselves to be much better and more stylish too! This article is all about our most recent update – our new kitchen bin from VonHaus. 

VonHaus Expands Kitchen Bin Range with New Sizes & Colours

Additionally, the new additions offer more flexibility for households of all sizes with more size options to choose from as well as more colour choices. The new multi-compartment pedal kitchen bins all have the following key features:

• Available in stylish colours to complement modern interiors (Black, Silver, Cream, and Sage Green).

The 30l and 60l bins have two compartments and the 45l bins have three compartments. The Sage Green and Cream colourways are available in 45l and 60l, but not in 30l.

Our Choice: The 60l Matte Black Double Bin

I ummed and ahhed about which colour to choose for our new kitchen bin. Before, we had a silver stainless steel design and I knew I wanted something different but was struggling to choose between the Matte Black and the beautiful Sage Green. The green is so stunning but I ended up choosing the Matte Black for its minimalist and classic look. Additionally, I knew it would be easier to match to other kitchen appliances that we already had. 

We’ve been testing our new stainless steel kitchen bin from VonHaus for a while now and are ready to share our experience. First impressions were that it looks really nice and is very spacious. We love having two large 30l compartments to separate our recycling and regular waste within the same bin. 

The pedals and lids work smoothly and it’s great to be able to use the bin without any hands. This also limits the risk of finger prints and other messes. The bin is easy to empty thanks to the inner bins that lift out and have a handle. It’s also easy to keep the bin clean – I use a cleaning spray and a soft cloth. Another useful feature is the carry handles on the sides to make it easy to lift the bin to move it when cleaning the floor. 

The Matte Black looks so sleek in our kitchen and it’s been a great kitchen update, an enhancement even, for us. Having practical everyday items in the home that look great and make your life just that little bit easier, makes such a huge difference.
