Wannabees Imaginative Role Play Packs For Children Review

The idea behind Wannabees was to strip things back to basics and let children use their own imagination instead of relying on electronic toys that we are all so used to playing with now. Remember when we were little and we used to spend hours and hours pretending to do things as a way of playing and how much fun we had? The Wannabees packs provide things that children need to pretend to be the profession of their choice, like forms, stickers, certificates etc. to get a real feel for the jobs they like to pretend they’re doing.

The range is constantly growing and hopefully there will be something for every child soon. So far, there’s a teacher’s pack, a doctor’s pack and one for running your own café. The latter would have been perfect for myself when I was little as I was always playing restaurants and coffee shops, providing pretend food for my sisters and parents. Twelve more professions are coming soon.

We’ve received a teacher’s pack for this review and it includes lots of fun things:

  • Lots of exciting forms to fill in (50 in total)
  • Reward stickers and certificates for well-behaved pupils!
  • Perforated pages so that items can be easily taken out and used
  • Registers, timetables, lesson planners, classroom jobs list, lunch lists, weather charts, counting sheets, letter and number sheets, reading logs, school reports, achievement certificates, stickers…

These packs are really high quality and provide many hours of fun and will enhance your child’s imaginative play and make them feel like they’re doing their dream job. Teamed with some equipment like a nice stationary set for a teacher or a toy first aid kit for a doctor, you have all you need for lots of fun. They are perfect for kids between 5-10 who generally love this kind of play.

The books cost £14.99 each but you can also get a downloadable pack with all three current packs for just £10. I can’t wait to see what the future professions in the range will be!

Here’s a video from this year’s London Toy Fair 2015 with some information about the packs:

We were sent one of these packs for this review. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
