Sleep is so important to our health, and we should all do what we can to achieve a good night’s sleep every night. Unfortunately, modern life is hectic and stressful for many and the excessive technology use that is part of life these days is not good for our sleep either.
A few months ago, I noticed a shift in my sleep and found that I was waking up more and struggling to fall asleep even though I was very tired. I think it was a combination of feeling stressed, not having a good work/life balance, having too much to do and not enough time for myself with time to relax and unwind.
I knew I needed to change something as I was feeling more like a zombie than was acceptable. Being a mum of young children (one of which is a toddler who often stays up late and ends up in our bed!), a good night’s sleep is never guaranteed but I decided to do what I could to help encourage it with some new habits that I developed as I took part in the new 28 Day Sleep Programme from Complete Me, designed by their founder and registered nutritionist Natalie.
This is a new extensive wellness programme that is designed to work alongside Complete Me’s best-selling Sleeping Beauty Supplement. When you sign up to the programme you get a lovely bundle of products and access to lots of exclusive online content.
The products you receive in the post are:
- 1 month’s worth of the Sleeping Beauty supplement which contains nutrients to aid better sleep. You take 2 capsules each evening.
- A lovely and relaxing Lavender pillow spray to help you unwind.
- A jar of calming bath salts to use at bath time before bed.
- A sleep journal to help you track and monitor your sleep patterns and habits to see what is and isn’t working for you.
- A pack of PUKKA chamomile tea to include in your daily bedtime routine.
- An information sheet about the programme with details about how to access the exclusive online content.
You can start the 28-day plan at any time. You simply follow the link on the information sheet and set your start day and put in your details to start receiving a daily email.
The exclusive online content contains:
- Daily emails with tips and tricks to keep you motivated, helpful reminders of habits to include in your day and ways to help you improve your sleep. You get the email each morning so that you can incorporate the tips throughout the day.
- Access to 20 healthy and balanced recipes that have been designed to give you all the right nutrients to improve your sleep.
- 4 video stretch routines to help you relax your body.
- 4 meditation audio clips to help soothe your mind before bed.
- Lots of informative and interesting fact sheets about ways to help you improve your sleep hygiene.
The idea of the programme is that you use the products, read the daily emails and use the online content to improve your sleep. Using the provided sleep journal, you can track how you’re feeling, your bedtime and waking up time, details about how you slept and the habits from the day before. This will help you see what lifestyle choices are important to your personal sleep health.
The sleep programme has lots of benefits and will help you develop healthier habits for daily life and a good evening routine to help encourage a good night’s sleep. You can try different things like no screen time close to bed, doing one of the stretching sessions or meditations in the evening or enjoying a relaxing bath with the provided bath salts.
30mins to 1 hour before bed, take your two capsules of Sleeping Beauty. I like to have mine with my cup of PUKKA chamomile tea before bed as I find that they work very well together. Don’t forget to spray your relaxing spray on your pillow or in your bedroom. You can also spray it in the bathroom for when you’re having your bath.
Doing this programme, my sleep has improved even thought I’ve not been able to follow it perfectly – sometimes due to the toddler and sometimes due to other unforeseen circumstances or choosing to do something that isn’t great for your sleep like having some wine. That’s life though and you don’t have to be perfect to develop better health habits.
Incorporating habits that work for you and your lifestyle and tracking them and the result is a great way to achieve better health and the 28 Day Sleep Programme from Complete Me provides you with everything you need to improve your sleep health.
If you’re interested in trying the 28 Day Sleep Programme from Complete Me yourself, you can enjoy 10% off with my discount code AMUMREVIEWS10. This is valid site-wide and can also be used when buying other Complete Me supplements – there’s lots of brilliant ones to choose from for different needs.
