Build Your Own Snowy Owl Review

My youngest daughter is a huge fan of owls and collects owl toys and owls to display in her room. We’d had our eyes on this Snowy Owl set from Build Your Own for a while so my daughter was super excited to build it with me. 

The wonderful Build Your Own’s Snowy Owl is simply stunning with its striking white and grey feathers and its fun 270° head rotation action. Perfect for both playing with and displaying as a cute decoration. 

This set has a skill level rating of 2.5 stars out of 5. It’s suitable from age 8 years and above with adult supervision recommended. My 6-year-old joined me to build this owl, learning how to find the pre-cut pieces and following the instructions to slot them together correctly. The owl set has 39 press-out pieces and takes around 20 minutes to build. 

It was such a fun set to build and the results are great. The owl looks amazing and my daughter loves that she can rotate the head with the dial on the owl’s back. 

The set also comes with a press-out Snowy Owl Fact Stand designed to encourage children to learn more about this endangered species. Additionally, for each Snowy Owl kit sold, Build Your Own will donate a percentage of the profit to the WWF.
