Comfortable Dads Make the Best Dads – Autumn Wardrobe Staples
When I watch my husband play with our daughters, one of the things I notice is how active he is during that time. He’s lifting them up and they’re jumping around, having lots of active fun. It’s clear that that’s a big part of how he, as a dad, plays with his children. I’m active too but in a different way and need to choose clothes that allow that but it seems to be even more true for many dads.
I think that this type of play is wonderful and to make it the best it can be, dads need to choose clothes that are comfortable to move around in and play in. Sure, some parents need to wear suits, shirts and fancy shoes to work but when it’s family time and you have young children who love to play with you, comfort is key. Comfortable dads (and mums!) make better parents as they can focus on the children better and not worry about their clothes too much.
Comfortable clothes doesn’t have to mean ugly or boring clothes though. There are so many stylish jogging type bottoms now, soft tops and jumpers and fashionable trainers that look great but are comfortable enough for a long play session at the playground or a soft play centre with the kids.
boohooMAN recently launched their first full range of men’s activewear with a great range of items for men of all ages. They have also launched a new Big & Tall range so there’s something for all sizes.
My husband has updated his wardrobe with a bunch of soft and comfortable joggers and is now well equipped for active play with the kids.
Above you can see what I think is the ideal outfit for a hands-on dad to wear when the focus of the day is to have fun with the kids. A soft long-sleeved t-shirt, a stylish hoodie, comfortable classic jogging bottoms, comfy sneakers and a hat to stay warm. Throw on a parka if it’s cold and you’re ready for a day at the park with the kids. Leave the shirts and chinos for the office! All the items featured are available from boohooMAN.
