Ecopipo Onesize Adjustable Night Nappy & Wrap Review + Giveaway

Up until recently, there was only one brand of cloth nappies that I would use overnight and it’s the Baba+Boo pocket nappy with bamboo inserts. I was in the “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” mindset and didn’t try any other nappies for overnight wear until last month when I started my Ecopipo cloth nappy trial!

I’m testing all the different types of nappies that Ecopipo have on offer and one of them is the Ecopipo Onesize Adjustable Night Nappy plus Ecopipo Onesize PUL Nappy Cover. More about the nappy cover further down in this blog post.

This nappy is made for night-time wear — but you can of course use it in the daytime too! — and is a fitted cloth nappy with a removable insert that you stuff into a pocket in the fitted nappy. I’ve never come across fitted nappies with a pocket and this is a great feature as you can add more absorbency easily.

The Ecopipo Onesize Adjustable Night Nappy is made from super absorbent prime grade organic bamboo that adjusts perfectly to your baby’s or toddler’s body. It wraps comfortably around the body and is so soft!

The outer layer is made of super soft bamboo fleece which feels amazingly luxurious and the inside is made from absorbent bamboo velour. Both materials are highly absorbent which is ideal for overnight use. The inside of the nappy wicks away moisture well and quickly, ensuring your baby’s bottom stays nice and dry and protecting your baby’s delicate skin when they’re wearing a nappy for a long period of time overnight.

Ecopipo Onesize Adjustable Night Nappy Hook and Loop was shortlisted as finalist for the Mother & Baby Award in 2016 when first introduced to Europe.

The fit of the nappy is wonderful — it looks so comfortable and cosy on my toddler who is 23 months old. You secure the nappy with a hook and loop (Velcro) system. This makes it easy to adjust to get the perfect fit. It’s got poppers to make the nappy smaller for younger babies too.

It’s a slim nappy even though it’s fitted and stuffed and seems very comfortable to wear. My toddler stays in her overnight nappies for 12 hours and we’ve not had any leaks with this one. You can fit slim boosters inside the pocket too if you have a heavy wetter.

The nappy washes well and can be tumbled dried if needed but line drying is best. It takes quite long to dry but it definitely helps that you can take the insert out and dry that separately to speed the process up.

Ecopipo Night Nappies cost £13.99 each and they are available in five colours. They’re all white with colourful hook and loop and poppers and come in Red, Spring Green, Lemon, Aqua and Raspberry.

This fitted nappy is not waterproof and needs a wrap as a waterproof outer layer. We have the Ecopipo Onesize Hook and Loop PUL Nappy Wrap in Yellow which so gorgeous! It’s the perfect colour to brighten up your day! It’s available in other colours and lots of beautiful prints too but I have always wanted a yellow nappy.

This wrap is amazing! It’s got a brilliant double gusset which is so good at preventing leaks and the shape of the nappy fits perfectly and comfortably over fitted nappies. You can also use it with terry nappies or pre-folds. There’s also enough room in the wrap to fit boosters for extra absorbency.

You can adjust the size of the wrap using the popper system on the rise. You can use it from around 8lbs to 35lbs (3.6 to 16 kg) which is great! The wrap has a hook and loop (Velcro) fastening system which makes it quick and easy to put on and easy to fit comfortably.

You can use wraps several times if they haven’t been soiled. Just wipe it between uses and wash as necessary. Since the wrap is made of PUL it should never be exposed to direct sunlight or other sources of heat like a radiator or the dryer. Dry it on an airer indoors and make sure it’s not too close to a radiator. Handwashing it will also help extend its life.

I’m so pleased with this night-time cloth nappy system! It works really well and has opened up a whole new world of fitted nappies and wraps for me that I hadn’t even considered before. I definitely want to add some more to my stash and Ecopipo also make nappy wraps for newborns which I would love to use when it’s time for Baby No 3. I’m planning to use cloth nappies from birth next time which will be a brand new experience too.
