Homeware Wish List – Items I Should Sort Out Before Baby No. 2

There are a lot of things around the house that I should sort our before Baby No. 2 is born. We have a few homeware items that need replacing or purchasing so I thought I’d make a list to remind myself what we need to get. I’ve thrown in a few items that I wish I had too that we might not necessarily buy, but a girl can dream! I’ve stuck to an orange theme for this list as it’s my favourite colour and it makes me happy. Great for spring too!

Items on my very orange homeware wish list:

  • Vax Gator Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Since becoming a mum, I’ve wanted a handheld vacuum cleaner to use to clean up after my daughter. She makes a lot of mess as she likes to eat all over the house and is a huge fan of shredding paper and cardboard with her hands… A handheld vacuum cleaner would make it so much easier to clean up after her and would also be great for cleaning the car.
  • Lifefactory 600 ml Glass Drinks Flask This is a breastfeeding item. I’ll be breastfeeding Baby No. 2 too and it’s thirsty work so it’s a good idea to have a bottle of water with you everywhere to stay hydrated. I like reusable items and a glass bottle is much better for you and the environment than plastic. They look lovely too!
  • Bodum Bistro 0.5L Cordless Kettle Kettles need to be replaced quite frequently in my experience. There’s something about the water that ruins the metal that most kettles are made of. We need a new one and I might go for a plastic one this time to see if they last longer. This one is gorgeous! I wonder if it comes in a larger size too.
  • Traditional Italian Style Design 6 Cup Espresso Coffee Maker Mmmm… coffee. I’ve given up my super caffeinated coffees during pregnancy and I can’t wait to start drinking coffee again post pregnancy. I love strong espresso coffee and have always wanted one of these at home to make my own proper coffee.
  • Francis Francis! by Illy X1 Ground Coffee Machine This is a dream item! These machines are so pricey but so pretty and a coffee lover’s dream.
  • Bodum Cafetiere Coffee Maker 3 Cup A cafetiere is a more affordable way to make real coffee at home and our old one broke ages ago. This would make an ideal replacement!
  • Dyson DC40 Multi Floor Lightweight Dyson Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaner This is probably the item that we need the most as our current old Dyson is actually broken. The hose is broken and the suction is not good at all anymore. It’s a big buy though!
  • Bodum Stainless Steel Vacuum Travel Mug This would make it possible for me to enjoy hot teas and coffees!
  • OXO Good Grips Compact Dustpan & Brush Set I love OXO’s homeware products (and children’s products too) and we really need a new dustpan and brush as our old one is useless. I love this compact one but the OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set is probably a better choice for us. It’s the most stylish dustpan and brush that I’ve ever seen.
  • Swan Products Retro Digital Microwave We bought a new microwave a few years ago and it’s by Samsung. It looks great but it’s not good at all. It takes ages to heat food and we often eat leftovers so it’s something that annoys us on a daily basis. Samsung make great TVs but not microwaves, unfortunately. This orange one looks beautiful but any faster microwave would mean a huge improvement to our daily lives.
