There are two versions of Magento:

  • Magento Open Source
  • Magento Enterprise (now called Adobe Commerce)

Magento Open Source is the free version of Magento. As Adobe explains, this version “delivers all the basic ecommerce capabilities and allows you to build a unique online store from the ground up.” Adobe Commerce is the paid version of Magento. This version includes cloud hosting and architecture as well as AI-powered analytics and merchandising.

This platform is highly reliable no matter the size of your inventory. So, as your business grows, you can rely on your Magento website to keep up.
