I mainly use solid shampoo these days to reduce waste but when I heard about Nereus London, I was really excited to give their products a go. They make a range of ethically sourced, plastic free beauty products (more about the very innovative packaging further down!) and also remove 1kg of plastic from the ocean with every bottle sold through their partnership with Plastic Bank.

I have been using the Nereus Detoxing & Hydrating Natural Hair Care Set for about a month now and love the products!

This lovely award-winning duo is suitable for all hair types and will leave your hair feeling soft and nourished, looking beautiful and smelling amazing too.

The formula with natural active ingredients and organic essential oils is designed to detox and nourish hair and soothe the scalp while also promoting healthy hair growth and strengthening the roots of the hair.

The shampoo is quite runny so be careful when you dispense it into your hands as you only need a small amount for a luxurious lather.

The conditioner is really thick and rich and, again, you only need a small amount to hydrate and nourish hair.

The duo is a pleasure to use! The products are gentle, smell amazing and feel great in my hair. After washing, my hair is easy to detangle and, when dry, feels soft, pampered and nourished. My curls are left feeling healthy and soft.

The photo above was taken one day after washing so I have a tiny bit of bed hair going on but my curls are still defined the way I like them.

The products from Nereus London are cruelty-free, vegan, made in Britain and plastic-free. They are free from silicones, parabens, sulfates, animal-derived ingredients, and harsh chemicals.

Let’s have a closer look at the packaging! The Nereus London bottles and caps are made from infinitely recyclable aluminium which is a great choice for plastic free hair care products. They’re sturdy and look great too!

The labels are really innovative and made from wood pulp which will start to decompose naturally. When this happens, depends on the environment the bottles are stored in. All packaging used to package and send the products is plastic free too.
