I covered the news of this game launching back in April and now the time has finally come – the new PAW Patrol: Dino World launched last week. We’ve been testing it out so I will share what we think along with all the details of the game in this article. Read on to find out more.

No Dino Too Big, No Pup Too Small! 

Outright Games, in collaboration with Nickelodeon, has created this fun new game that lets players join the pups on a prehistoric rescue adventure across Dino Island. 

The game is set in the familiar PAW Patrol universe, taking place in the same prehistoric world as the upcoming theatrical release of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.

More About the Game 

PAW Patrol: Dino World has been created for young players and families. It’s easy to get started with clear instructions for what you need to do. In the game, players can explore four vibrant regions of Dino Island, from The Shore and The Jungle to Dino Plains and The Volcano. Each of these areas is filled with rescue missions, environmental puzzles, mini-games, hidden collectibles, and opportunities to discover a lively prehistoric world.

When playing, players can step into the roles of all six of the playable pups – Chase, Marshall, Skye, Zuma, Rubble and Rocky. Each character is equipped with their own unique abilities and signature vehicles. Throughout the adventure, players need to sometimes switch between pups to utilise their special skills to solve problems, complete rescues, and to explore every corner of Dino Island. 

Like many Outright Games, PAW Patrol: Dino World has also been designed with accessibility and family play in mind. You can play the game in solo mode or in local two-player co-op which encourages teamwork and is a great way to have fun with a friend or a family member. 

Throughout the game, players will come across a wide range of customisation options that truly make this adventure their own. There are hidden treasure chests to find and by collecting pup treats you can unlock new accessories – for the pups, their vehicles, and even to use to decorate dinosaur friends! How about a tie for a dinosaur?

PAW Patrol: Dino World – What the Kids Think

All my children have been into PAW Patrol at some point during their childhood. The pups have been a big part of play in our home for over a decade now! It all started with my eldest and I can remember gradually buying her the collection of PAW Patrol figures. These are still being played with now by our youngest who is now the family’s biggest PAW Patrol fans.

She was very excited when I introduced her to PAW Patrol: Dino World! We installed the game and got started straight away. The instructions were so clear that she could do pretty much everything independently at age 7. She’s not a big gamer – she only plays video games with her older sisters occasionally. It’s great that it’s so easy to understand what to do as young kids can easily get frustrated if it’s too complicated.

I can confirm that my youngest loves this game! She thinks it’s great fun and she enjoys exploring Dino World, swapping between the pups for the different missions, and collecting every pup treat she spots to be able to unlock as many new accessories as possible!

PAW Patrol: Dino World is available now across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also be available worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 2, 2026. PAW Patrol: Dino World will be released in Australia on September 18th, 2026.
