On a mission to simplify our lives and our home, we have upgraded our duvet to the Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet – the only duvet we’ll need. We recently got a Simba mattress which we love, so we were excited to try a duvet from Simba too. Read on to find out more about this excellent product below in my Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet review.

How does the Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet work?

This is a very clever product indeed. The duvet consists of two different duvets. One is a 7 TOG duvet ideal for spring and autumn weather. The other is a 3.5 TOG duvet which is ideal for warmer summer weather. By combining and fastening the two duvets together with the poppers, you can create a warm 10.5 TOG winter duvet.

Because of these features, you can limit the amount of duvets you need for each bed to just one Hybrid 3-in-1 duvet. Furthermore, with this duvet, you can enjoy the perfect temperature all year round.

Handy Duvet Storage Bag

The Simba Hybrid 3-in1 Duvet comes delivered packaged in a lovely, sturdy storage bag. This bag is excellent for storing and protecting whichever duvet is not currently in use. Additionally, the storage bag is made from recycled materials, even the zip!

Simba Hybrid Materials & Engineering

So, what are Simba duvets made of? Simba combines technologically advanced materials with pure cool cotton. This results in duvets that are incredibly lightweight but also offers excellent warmth, breathability, and temperature control.

Both duvets have one side that features cooling Stratos heat control technology. This is the side with the faint geometric pattern on it. To experience optimum temperature control, put this side closest to your body.

The other side of the duvets features a material that is a blend of breathable better cotton and smooth, sustainable modal fibres. This too supports the body’s natural cooling process.

Lastly, the filling of the duvets is super-soft and sustainable Simba Renew clusters. The clusters are fluffy and made from recycled PET bottle fibres. They’re a great eco-friendly and vegan alternative to feather and down fillings. The PET bottle fibres are blended with 20% modal fibres, derived from natural wood pulp. Together, they form airy, downy clusters inside the duvet. These are soft, warm and breathable. The modal material is also great at wicking moisture away from the body.

Simba & Sustainability

Sustainability is an important topic for Simba. As a matter of fact, they are the first UK-born sleep brand to have an official B Corp™ accreditation. As well as choosing eco-friendly recycled or natural renewable materials for their products, Simba is also part of the Better Cotton Initiative. This is a not-for-profit organisation that improves global cotton production. Specifically for the people who produce it and the environment where it grows. Additionally, Simba’s deliveries are 100% carbon neutral.

Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet – Our Experience Using It

We are very happy with our new duvet set-up. We are currently using the 7 TOG duvet as the weather is quite cold still. I’m a cold sleeper, while my husband is a warm sleeper. Thanks to the temperature control features, this duvet works really well for both of us which is great news. We are both a comfortable temperature despite our different sleep temperatures and preferences.

The duvets are light and comfortable and warm you up to a desirable temperature quickly. We have no complaints whatsoever – the Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet is brilliant for us so far!

  • A: Yes, you can tumble dry this duvet on a low heat. It’s best to do this in a commercial washing machine.
• Q: Is the Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet worth the cost?
  • A: This duvet is on the more expensive side but the quality is excellent and it is a well-made product. I would recommend it to people who are looking for an all-in-one duvet that can cover all their duvet needs. Specifically, this duvet is especially great for people who are looking for good temperature control.
• Q: Is the Simba Hybrid 3-in-1 Duvet noisy?
  • A: After feeling the Stratos material side of the duvets, we suspected that maybe the duvet would be a bit noisy when moving around at night. We were wrong however and have not noticed any noise at all.
