Spice up your Life with Life of Spice – Spice Sets Review & Giveaway

One of the best ways to change up your food and make meals more exciting is to experiment with flavours by using different spices. I’ve been sampling Life of Spice Gourmet Spice Blends recently to add a bit of oomph to our meals. I’m a vegetarian myself so my husband and I eat a lot of vegetarian meals together. I naturally love vegetables but they do taste best when seasoned properly and you can have a lot of fun exploring tastes with different combinations of spices.

All Life of Spice products are vegetarian and vegan friendly and include no artificial preservatives or E numbers. They come in great, environmentally friendly aluminium tins that are fully recyclable.

The spices I have tried are part of the Italian Collection and the American Rub Collection. You can also buy the tins individually but I’m really enjoying these collections! There are many to choose from here.

The Italian Collection

The Italian Collection is very well suited for me as Italian is my favourite cuisine! This collection contains three tins:

• RUB – Pepper Smurf | A classic Italian peppered steak rub with a few extra herbs to get your taste buds singing
  
• SALT – The Italian Job | Sea Salt infused with Basil, Thyme and Citrus to bring a taste of the Mediterranean to your table
  
• HERBS – Italian Herbs | A classic selection of Italian herbs to give that authentic Trattoria taste to pizza and Italian dishes
  

The rub is perfect for steaks but can also be used for vegetarian options like aubergine. The salt makes a great table salt for Italian meals and the herbs work on anything you’d like to add an Italian flavour to whether it’s pizza, pasta or roasted vegetables. Yum!

American Rub Collection

The American Rub Collection is a selection of rubs that are ideal for BBQs and meat but also wonderful on vegetables and dishes that you can cook all year round like fajitas! This exciting collection contains five tins:

• Memphis Belle | An authentic Tennessee barbecue rub to provide a Southern taste sensation
• Kansas City Rib Rub | A classic Kansas City barbecue rub to provide a true taste of the Midwest

These all add loads of flavour and excitement to a meal. I’m struggling to choose a favourite but have to say I love the Much Adobo About Nothing added to stir fried peppers, onions and mushrooms for fajitas!
