The Quick & Easy Way to Host a Party – My Best Tips
Having elaborate party planning sessions can be fun sometimes for big events but sometimes you just need it to be quick and easy. Here are my best ways for stress-free party hosting when time is limited:
- Organise a caterer to prepare the food for you or ask the guests to bring a dish or a cake each. The latter will make sure that there’s something that each guest likes too!
- It would be great to be able to offer a full bar to your guests but these days most parties involve guests bringing their own booze. It’s nice and simple to offer a welcome drink to your guests though. Something like a glass of bubbly or Buck’s Fizz is perfect for this.
- For big and fancy parties, it’s a good idea to hire plates and glasses since most of us don’t have enough of these at home but for more relaxed gatherings like a BBQ or daytime parties with friends, choosing Paper coffe cups and plates is a good idea as it makes sure there are enough for everyone and makes cleaning up afterwards a speedy process.
- Decorations don’t have to be very advanced — some fresh flowers, some bunting or balloons are all very easy ways to spruce up a room or a garden. Disposable table cloths are also a great way to decorate and keep mess under control.
- When it comes to music, load up your MP3 player with a playlist or let guests take turn being the DJ. Music fans will love being in charge of choosing tunes for the party.
- Make it easy for guests to know where to put rubbish and bottles/cans for recycling to keep the party mess-free and to make cleaning up afterwards easy.
