The World of Sherlock Holmes 1000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle from LKP
|The World of Sherlock Holmes 1000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle from LKP
As you might know by now, building 1000-piece jigsaws has become a hobby in our family recently. Our newest addition is The World of Sherlock Holmes 1000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle from LKP (Laurence King Publishing).
“Don your deerstalker and immerse yourself in Holmes’ London, complete with bodies, boat chases, and, of course, 221B Baker Street.”
The puzzle was made by Nicholas Utechin who is the official historian of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London and author of numerous books on Sherlock Holmes together with Doug John Miller who is a London-based illustrator.
It’s a large and complicated jigsaw all about Sherlock Holmes and his world. Find lots of memorable characters from the stories (the hound at Baskerville Hall to Moriarty, Dr. Watson, Mycroft to mention a few) as well as real historical figures from the time.
This was the most difficult 1000-piece jigsaw we’ve had from Laurence King Publishing so far. I think it took us a bit longer than the others due to so many areas of the jigsaw being quite similar. It was a good challenge though and lots of fun discovering and exploring all the details.
I really like the large magnifying glass that lets us peek inside a building and also the four big postcards in the corners of the jigsaw.
The jigsaw comes with a fold-out poster that you can use to help you along.
Another great jigsaw from Laurence King Publishing! It was challenging and interesting too — I feel like I know more about Sherlock Holmes now!
Check out this jigsaw and the rest of the range in the Gifts section of the LKP website. They’re a great price at just £14.99 and there are a bunch to choose from.
