Happy World Book Day! I love World Book Day! As an avid reader raising children who love books too, it’s a popular event in our family. It’s great to celebrate the love of reading and books together at home and at school and of course lots of fun for the kids to dress up as characters from their favourite stories and books too.

Today we’re celebrating World Book Day with a giveaway here on the blog in collaboration with Reading Chest. We have had a Reading Chest subscription for a while now for both my older girls and they absolutely love it!

It’s such a good way to ensure your kids have plenty of different books to read from the comfort of your home without filling your home with books they will only read once.

Reading Chest is a book rental subscription that works like this:

• Choose a subscription package (different amounts of books and swaps per month) and set your child’s reading level (or levels if setting it up for several children). You can also choose books that you would like to receive when available and any books that you don’t want to receive for whatever reason.
• Soon, your books will soon arrive in the post. They are sent via First Class so it’s always a speedy delivery. Your first delivery also includes some goodies to help you look after your books and to encourage your child’s reading. You get a fun sticker chart with stickers and a handy bag for storing your books in.
• Read and enjoy the books for as long as you want then you send them back in the prepaid envelope that you get with each new delivery of books. You can send up to 3 books back at a time.

My kids love the surprise aspect and the steady supply of new books to read. It’s ideal for them as they go through lots of books!
