Family Flavours: Reduce Your Family’s Risk of Obesity and Cancer with New Free Cookbook

Family Flavours is a new cookbook that helps families eat their 5-a-day and reduce their risk of both obesity and cancer. The book is by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) and has been put together to make eating healthily easier for families and to encourage healthy eating habits in children to reduce their risk of diet-related health issues and diseases later in life.

The cookbook contains 7 easy, nutritious, and delicious recipes for the whole family to enjoy together and also focuses on making mealtimes fun and getting the children involved in the cooking process.

Healthy Family Food

The recipes are beautifully laid out, complete with photos, nutritional information, step-by-step guides and top tips. All the recipes have been created by a Registered Nutritionist to ensure the meals provide a healthy balanced diet and all of the recipes align with World Cancer Research Fund’s Cancer Prevention Recommendations.

The book also contains lots of lifestyle recommendations to help prevent cancer. It also covers portion sizes for children, fruit and veg servings and how to eat healthily as a family.

Family Flavours: Reduce Your Family’s Risk of Obesity and Cancer

Fewer than one in five children are currently eating their recommended 5-a-day and one in three are leaving primary school overweight so it’s essential that families have access to healthy, affordable and easy to make meals like this.

Getting the kids involved is a great way to teach them and to improve the chances of them eating your homecooked meal as children are more eager to eat things they’ve made themselves and also love seeing their loved ones enjoy something they’ve made. It will also teach them important life skills and healthy habits.

The book is available for FREE to download or as a physical copy for just 50p (including P&P). There are also other healthy eating cookbooks available.

Collaboration.
