How to Make Your Own Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products

There are many good reasons to make your own eco-friendly cleaning products at home. One good reason is that natural cleaning products are safer for your family and you don’t need to worry about fumes and dangerous chemicals. This is especially a concern if you have young children or pets but a valid thing to consider for all families.

Another reason is that these kinds of homemade products create a lot less waste as you can buy your ingredients in bulk. Creating less waste is something many of us are trying to achieve with the enormous amounts of plastic and other rubbish going to landfill each and every day. You can of course buy eco-cleaning products too but making them yourself will save you a lot of money in the long run and when you make them yourself, you know exactly what goes in them and you can tailor them to your preferences with your favourite scents.

You can use containers and spray bottles that you already have at home — just make sure to wash them out thoroughly first. If you want a fancier option, you can buy glass spray bottles that look very eco-chic and will last longer than repurposed plastic bottles — as long as you don’t drop them!
