Leather Zippered 40 Slots Pen Case from Galen Leather Review

In general, in life and in my home, I prefer to choose quality products that are made well and will last.

I was recently introduced to Galen Leather which is a company from Turkey that specialises in making beautiful leather goods. They have a wide range of gorgeous leather notebooks, notebook covers, stationery, makeup bags, tote bags, leather laptop cases and other items to choose from.

All the products are handmade in Turkey using traditional leather making techniques, including vegetable tanning, and are of the highest quality showing exceptional craftmanship.

Galen Leather asked me to choose an item to feature here on my blog and I chose the Leather Zippered 40 Slots Pen Case for my eldest daughter who is a budding artist who loves drawing, crafting and all things stationery. She’s very tidy and organised and I knew straight away that she would absolutely love this wonderful pen case.

This very generously sized pen case is available in two colours – Crazy Horse Brown and Crazy Horse Forest Green. The Crazy Horse Forest Green colour is a distressed dark green colour that shows undertones of light green, sacramento and emerald.

We have the Crazy Horse Brown which is a distressed brown colour that shows shades of different brown undertones, including tan, mocha and hickory. It’s so beautiful, especially in warm sunlight as you can see in the photo above. Both these colours have a soft suede feeling finish and they age and soften quicker compared to regular leather.

This pen case is a great size at 230 mm x 190 mm x 80mm and has 40 elastic pen loops so that you can store your precious pens safely inside. The pens can be up to 145 mm / 5.6 inch long.

The case has a YKK zipper to keep the pens contained and protected inside. I love that the pen case can stand up by itself on a shelf or a table too.

The leather is 100% vegetable tanned cow leather, and the hand stitched case has beveled, waxed, and burnished edges.

The inside has a velvet lined interior and protector fabric to ensure that the pens don’t rub on each other. This amazing pen case is great for keeping your pens protected in your bag to ensure they don’t get scratched or leak ink. Ideal for fountain pens especially but my daughter is still young and is using them for more age-appropriate pens which fit nicely in the pen case too. She has been asking for a fountain pen so it is something that we will look into soon!
