Magic Mats Review – Wipe Clean Children’s Colouring Placemats

My daughters love drawing and colouring — they easily work their way through lots and lots of colouring books! That’s why I was really happy when Magic Mats got in touch and told me about their products which are wipe clean colouring placemats that your kids can draw on over and over again. They’re like white boards and you use white board pens — small children’s ones that you get with your Magic Mats — and simply wipe them clean when your child wants to make a new picture.

They’re not just plain white boards though — they come in different educational and creative designs. These placemats are brilliant and both my daughters love them! My youngest is only almost 2 years old so she just doodles but my eldest is 4 years old and really enjoys practicing writing all the letters and numbers as well as learning to draw shapes properly and colouring in the designs on the side of the placemat.

In the middle of the mat, there’s a large empty space which is perfect for freestyle drawing and writing. The flexible mat can be used on both sides and the back is completely empty which means you can make a larger picture. For this reason, I prefer the flexible one.

The pens are a great size for little fingers and the boards wipe clean very easily with a damp cloth.

I’d highly recommend Magic Mats to other parents of young children! A personalised one would make a great gift too. My girls absolutely love them and I love that they are mess-free, educational and create much less waste than regular drawing!
