When playing Matchbox Driving Adventures, players get to unlock, customise, and race digital versions of their favourite authentic Matchbox vehicles. Players embark on epic missions across six different environments in Adventure Mode. Enjoy speeding through various tracks and dodging the unique hazards. There’s also a Competition Mode that players can enter alone or in a group of up to four friends in local multiplayer.

“Jump into the driver’s seat for single-player challenges on Matchbox Adventure Island in Adventure Mode, race up to four players on 14 unique tracks in Competition Mode, and collect points, unlock and customize original Matchbox vehicles.”

This competitive driving adventure game was developed by Casual Brothers with families and younger players in mind. The game evolves the car play experience beyond the toy aisle and is perfect for anyone who is a fan of toy cars, specifically Matchbox die-cast cars of course.

The Story of Matchbox Cars

The story behind the legendary Matchbox brand is really sweet. It all started when automotive enthusiast Jack Odell wanted to solve a challenge for his daughter. She was allowed to take a toy to school, but only if it was small enough to fit in a matchbox – the idea of the matchbox sized car was born! Jack Odell scaled down a toy car, packaged it in a matchbox, and sent his daughter off to school with it. The iconic Matchbox car was born.

The high standards of authenticity for Matchbox die-cast cars have driven the brand for over 70 years and generations of fans. Today, two Matchbox cars are sold every second somewhere globally.

Matchbox Driving Adventures – Game Details & Features

In the game set on Matchbox Adventure Island, players can select and customise original Matchbox die-cast vehicles, chase rogue cars, and escape hazards while earning medals and rewards and becoming Matchbox racers.

Matchbox Driving Adventures game key features:

• Find Your Adventure: Enjoy travelling across the six biomes of Matchbox Adventure Island (how about a bustling city centre or a perilous volcano?) where you can complete missions to unlock new areas of the island for the Matchbox Adventure Squad to explore.
• Challenges Await: Play at your own pace and tackle increasingly difficult missions – for example, chase cars or escape hazards (snowballs, alligators, a giant octopus!). By doing so, you’ll earn medals and rewards that unlock new models.
• Unique Customisation: Customise original Matchbox vehicles, including the Dune Dog and Flame Tamer, with various colours and finishes. Carefully select a vehicle considering its weight, speed, handling and boost for an extra competitive edge.
• Solo or Multiplayer: Play on your own or together. In Competition Mode, race on a single track or in a championship with up to four players in local multiplayer on 14 unique tracks with four variations each.
• Suitable for All Skill Levels: Skilled players can choose from three difficulty settings and use features such as detours and speed boosts to overtake opponents. Younger, less-experienced players can use ‘Auto-Accelerate’ and ‘Lane-Assist’ for support in both Adventure Mode and Competition Mode.
