I’ve noticed a change in my haircare needs recently. Hair can change as you go through life – stressful experiences, natural ageing, and of course during pregnancy and breastfeeding too. For quite a long time, I didn’t need to use any hydrating treatments but was fine with just a cleansing product to wash my hair. Now I’m back to needing more nourishing and moisturising products to keep my hair hydrated and healthy and I have found the perfect brand for this!

Mayraki Professional have a wonderful range of all-natural, plant-extract based haircare products suitable for all hair types. The products have been developed to improve hair and scalp health, all with an environmentally friendly approach to production. In this article, I will share two of my favourite products from Mayraki Professional.

• Mayraki Weightless Essential Oil Nutritive Treatment

Let’s start with my absolute favourite which is the Mayraki Weightless Essential Oil Nutritive Treatment. This is such an amazing product! It’s a rich, concentrated hair essential oil treatment that combines the latest hair care science with nourishing natural ingredients. The formula contains several organic floral and plant oils, including rosemary, tea tree, and peppermint oil, as well as Multi-Peptide Complex to reinforce the barrier function of hair cuticles, restore hair strength and add shine to dry and damaged hair.

You can use it as a pre-shampoo treatment for an intensive pampering treat for damaged hair. For this method, you apply the product to your hair (avoiding roots) and leave it on for 15-30 minutes, before shampooing and conditioning as usual.

For more regular use or for less damaged hair, you can use it as an after-shampoo treatment like you would use most hair masks. Shampoo as normal, towel dry your hair and apply the product to your hair (avoiding roots). You can leave the product to do its work for 20-30 minutes before rinsing it out.

I find the lightweight and non-greasy formula so nourishing and quick working that I can enjoy using it when I don’t have the time to leave it in for very long too. I often use it as a conditioner and just leave it on for a few minutes and it still leaves my hair amazingly silky and easy to detangle.

It’s a miracle product and I love it! It makes hair look and feel healthy, hydrated, shiny and revitalised and the results are so impressively fast! A little goes a very long way too. I also love that it comes with an adorable wooden spoon to help you get the product out of the tub and that it’s so beautifully packaged – ready to gift to a friend, relative or yourself.

• Mayraki Ultimate Botanical Moisturizing Hair Oil

Next up, the Mayraki Ultimate Botanical Moisturizing Hair Oil which is a professional product with a blend of 16 natural plant oils to restore and nourish your hair. It includes argan, jojoba and castor oil to strengthen hair, reduce breakage and promote hair growth. The oil blend also includes botanical extracts, chamomile and lavender, to soothe the scalp and promote general relaxation.

The formula is lightweight and absorbs into the hair well to deeply moisturise hair strands, improve split ends and tame frizz. It leaves hair looking healthy, smooth and shiny without oily residues.

You can use this hair oil in different ways. One way is to apply it to towel dried hair after washing. You apply 1-2 pumps to your hair, focussing on where it’s the driest and damages which is usually the ends of the hair, then leave to dry or style as usual. The other way you can use it is on dry hair to add shine and make your hair smooth.

I enjoy using the hair oil in both the above ways and sometimes use it as a pre-shampoo treatment too where I apply the oil more generously for a more intense treatment before shampooing and conditioning as usual. It’s a lovely hair oil that provides plenty of hydration and care without being greasy. It’s doesn’t weigh the hair down at all – just makes it look smooth, shiny, and healthy!
