After having watched her big sisters scoot for a few years, it was time for our youngest daughter to join in with the scooting fun too. The older two both went straight to a two-wheeled scooter as they were a bit older when their scooting journey began. The littlest lady is only 3.5 years old so I thought it was best for her to have a three-wheeled scooter to start with.

Micro Scooters have a brilliant range of high-quality scooters for children of different ages and scooters for adults too. The have a bunch of options to choose from for under 5s — we picked the Micro Scooters Mini Micro Deluxe Foldable Scooter.

The Micro Scooters Mini Micro Deluxe Foldable Scooter is a 3-wheeled scooter designed for children aged 2-5 years, up to 110cm tall and up to a weight of 35kgs. The scooter itself weighs just 2.1kgs so is easy for parents to carry when needed.

The main reason that we chose this particular model is that it has a one-click folding system that makes it easy to quickly fold and unfold the scooter as needed. We needed a scooter that can fold as I need to be able to fit it in small spaces like under our pushchair or in the boot of the car or to be able to easily carry it. It also makes the scooter easier to store at home. To fold the Mini Micro Deluxe Foldable Scooter, you simply press the button and fold it! Super easy!

Other excellent features include a tough but lightweight anodised stem, an adjustable handlebar, and an extra grippy footplate. I love the big wheels at the front, the grippy handles and the brake at the back too.

This scooter has an intuitive lean-to-steer design which is quick and easy for children to learn. I’d never seen this kind of steering design in real life before so didn’t know what to expect but it makes perfect sense and seems easy for little ones to pick up instantly.

The Mini Micro Deluxe Foldable Scooter is a wonderful scooter for pre-schoolers and my youngest is over the moon that she can now scoot like the big girls!

We have the scooter in Navy but it’s also available in Pink, Aqua, Purple and Pink/Red.

Micro Scooters also have a large range of fun accessories for children’s scooters. Again, there’s lots of choice but as soon as I spotted the Micro Eco Wicker Basket, it was love at first sight.

It’s an absolutely adorable wicker basket that attaches to the handlebars of your scooter. It’s large enough to carry everything your little one might need on their scooting adventures – water bottles, snacks, books, toys, etc.

Not only is this basket super cute with it’s decorative bunting and leather-look straps – it is also eco-friendly. The details of the basket are made from rPet which is a recycled polyester yarn made from plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are much better turned into useful and beautiful products like this instead of left polluting our oceans. The basket can be used on all Micro Scooters (except the Trike and XL Trike). The basket is also available with Aqua-coloured bunting.
