My 4-Year-Old’s Dream Bedroom – Interior Details on Her Wish List
As you might know, we are trying to move house and are hoping to move by the end of this year. We’re all very excited about this and our eldest daughter who is four years old is especially excited about having her own room.
Currently, her bedroom is also an office so it’s not quite hers! In the new house, she might share a bedroom with her little sister but it will be just for them — no desk or any other things that are not theirs.
I’ve asked my daughter what she would like in her new room and here are some details that she’s requested:
- Wall Stickers
In her current room, we have a large Lego wall sticker but now a Funny Monster one is on the wish list! I wonder if we’ll be able to find one of them. Nearly all of the show homes that we’ve visited have had themed children’s bedrooms so I can understand where this idea comes from. It might change before we move though — a little while ago, she wanted a Frozen themed bedroom and not long before, a Rainbow themed room was at the top of her wish list.
- Curtains
At the moment, we have blue kids curtains with cars on them but in the new house, our daughter says she would like red curtains with the word Happy written all over them. Sounds good and inspiring!
- Bed
She’s also asked for a big “jumpy” bed, meaning one she’s allowed to jump on and one that’s big enough to play on. The bed she has now is not suitable for jumping on (like most of them!) so we’ll see what we can do…
- Carpet
For flooring, she wants a pink and very soft carpet that is comfortable to play on. She spends a lot of time playing on the floor — especially with Lego! — so this makes perfect sense.
- Spooky Decor
The final request is a bit odd as she has asked for spider webs! Not real ones, just pretend ones, but she wants them everywhere! Maybe we can do that for Halloween at least!
