My Father’s Day Gift Guide 2019 – Gift Ideas for Dads

It’s that time of year again Father’s Day is coming up! It’s time to start thinking about ideas for celebrating your dad or the father of your children. If you’re looking for some gift ideas you’ve come to the right place. In this post, I’ve gathered my current favourite gift ideas for dads but you can also check out my Father’s Day category here on the blog for more ideas.

  • What’s Father’s Day without Beer?

Beer is something most men enjoy and some extra special beer makes a great gift for Father’s Day! Think about what the dad you’re buying for enjoys and choose accordingly. If he’s into craft beers and IPA, this Because You Love Beer Tube (£19.99) filled with three IPAs would make a perfect treat! If bitters and pale ales are more his thing, go for the Bucket Of Beer (£34.99) that comes with four bottles and four different types of savoury snacks to be enjoyed with the drinks. These are both from GettingPersonal.co.uk and can be personalised too!

  • Father’s Day Breakfast

A great dad deserves a nice breakfast made for him on Father’s Day. Some might love a full English breakfast and others have a sweeter tooth and might prefer a nice stack of fresh waffles. If the dad you’re treating is the latter, he needs a waffle maker in his life. VonShef has a wide range of different types of waffle makers that are perfect for a quick, easy yet indulgent breakfast.

We have the Quad Waffle Maker (£19.99) which lets you cook four at the same time which is brilliant and saves a lot of time if you want to make many and why wouldn’t you? It makes perfect golden waffles that taste amazing! This is a gift that keeps on giving too as you can keep using it over and over…

  • A Dad with Style

A nice, good quality shirt is always a good gift for a man in your life. Savile Row Company London is famous for their high quality and their shirts are made of BCI cotton and now packaged in plastic free packaging which is great news! Summer is around the corner, so why not treat dad to a nice linen shirt that will help him stay (and look!) cool when the weather gets hot? I really like this Mid Blue Linen-Blend Classic Fit Shirt (£40) from Savile Row Company London.

  • Eco-Friendly Shaving for Gentlemen

Shaving products is a traditional gift for men. Go classic with a stylish and eco-friendly safety razor like the MÜHLE RYTMO Steamed Ash 4-piece Safety Razor Shaving Set (£84.99). Apparently MÜHLE  is one of the best brands for safety razors. Safety razors provide a superior shave and are built to last. They are plastic free and zero waste too. You buy the blades in small paper boxes and these are usually really affordable though the actual razor handle can be more of an investment.

  • Something Practical

Men are often quite practical creatures and don’t tend to choose things that are purely decorative, in my experience. Here are a couple of gifts that are a bit of both! This shabby chic Small Vintage Wooden Milking Stool (£39.95) might seem like a strange gift but my husband is always asking me for things to stand on to reach things higher up for little DIY jobs and this little stool is perfect for things like that and also makes a good seat, foot rest or small table. My husband and his dad were recently working on our new garden and this came in handy as a little table for their coffees. It’s very versatile and looks nice when not in use!

I really like the look of this Rustic Grey Metal Garden Carrier (£19.95) and it would make a lovely gift for a dad who’s into gardening. My idea is to fill it with bits and bobs like some new gardening tools, a few bottles of beers and some chocolate treats for a nice gift basket that also leaves you with this handy storage container to use in the home or the garden. Both these gifts are from Melody Maison and they have lots of great gifts for the home and garden.

  • Don’t Forget the Socks…

Socks are another classic gift for men and they are a good practical gift but why not make it fun too with a family bundle of socks featuring a favourite character? Roy’s Boys make their socks here in England, in Nottinghamshire, and is a third generation family owned business specialising in eccentric, bright and quirky socks.

For Father’s Day, they have launched some exciting new licensed characters socks in family bundles from brands including Mr Men, Bing and Peppa Pig. We went for Hey Duggee as that’s my daughters’ favourite TV-show. We have a lovely set with a pair of socks for each member of the family except for the baby. They’re really nice socks and my girls choose to wear them every chance they get. They love that we all have a matching pair. It’s a lovely gift to celebrate dads and family in general. Create your own family pack on the Roy’s Boys website.

Features gifted samples. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
