November 2018 TOPPBOX Men’s Grooming & Skincare Subscription
|November 2018 TOPPBOX Men’s Grooming & Skincare Subscription
Another month has passed and that means that I’ve had another TOPPBOX delivery too! In this post, I’ll show you what was in the November box, but first is a bit of information about what TOPPBOX is.
TOPPBOX is a Men’s Grooming & Skincare Subscription Box that you get delivered to your home each month — or every second month or every third month, if you prefer. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Christmas is around the corner and a TOPPBOX subscription would make a great gift for a skincare & grooming loving male in your life!
Each month’s box contains 4-5 products from top brands. You usually get a mix of full-sized and travel sized products and the total value of each box is around £50-£70 but it only costs you £19 + postage. It’s a lovely way to try new skincare products in the comfort of your own home. Most items are quite unisex as well which I love as I’m using the products myself.
When you sign up, you personalise your TOPPBOX to receive products that are specifically chosen for your grooming needs. This is a good idea as we all have different preferences, skin types and needs and it takes less than 30 seconds to fill out the quick questionnaire about your age, style, skin type, facial hair/shaving needs and hair type plus any extra comments.
Let’s have a look at the contents of the November TOPPBOX:
- Optiat Men’s Hemp Face Mask (worth £17.95)
Face masks are great for giving your skin a bit of a pamper in the comfort of your own home and are especially effective in winter, I find, when many of us feel that our skin is a bit dull. This one is a clay mask (my favourite!) that is deep cleansing and tackles impurities. It’s got repurposed English hemp husks in it to polish away dead skin cells, bentonite and activated charcoal to draw out toxins and Fuller’s Earth to absorb excess oil, revitalise skin and act as a natural antiseptic to keep skin nice and clear. This mask comes as a powder that you mix with water yourself at home to make a paste that you can apply to your face. You leave it on for 10 minutes or so, rinse off and then pat your skin dry. You can use it up to three times a week and it’s all natural, certified organic and preservative-free. Great product!
- Mount Purious Hair and Scalp Conditioning Camellia Oil (worth £7.99)
This is a nourishing oil for hair and scalp that improves the overall health of your hair and can reduce hair loss too. It’s composed of 90% Omega 9 and Vitamin E which are very nourishing and hydrating. To use it, you simply massage a small amount into your scalp. This can be used for people without hair too, to keep the scalp in good condition.
- Lumber Jack Beard Thickening Shampoo (worth £9.99)
This is a shampoo formulated especially for beards! It’s a thickening formula that is designed to leave your beard feeling fresher, clean and manageable without removing its natural oils. You apply it evenly to your wet beard, massage and rinse thoroughly. This beard shampoo is also designed to fortify thin beard hair and promote hair density and growth for a fuller look.
- Morgan’s Pomade Body Lotion (worth £8.00)
This is a body lotion with vitamin B% and Argan Oil to nourish skin deeply. It’s very hydrating yet the formula is light and non-greasy. It’s great to help your skin during the winter to keep it soft, smooth and calm.
- AM Get Clean Anti-Bacterial Spray (worth £9.50)
This is not a grooming or skincare product but a little gadget that helps you keep your phone hygienic on the go. Giving your phone an antibacterial wipe-down every now and then is a good way to protect yourself against flu and other infections and this little gadget helps you do just that. It’s a small antibacterial all-in-one spray and microfiber cloth that lets your clean your phone (or tablet) screen wherever you are, eradicating bacteria and leaving your device nice and clean. Simply spray the solution onto your screen, then wipe with the microfiber body of the spray bottle. Very clever!
- Friendly Soap, Travel Soap (worth £2.62)
Good old-fashioned soap is an often underrated item. A good bar of soap is a great product in my opinion as it lets you clean your hair, body, hands and face with one multipurpose product. It’s also very space saving and zero waste. This one is made with coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, lavender, lemongrass, peppermint and tea tree essential oil blend and water (and nothing else!). It’s a lovely bar of soap that smells great and feels nice on skin and hair.
Another great box this month with lots of interesting new products! This month, I have a few favourites: the bar of soap, the antibacterial spray for phones and the face mask. Get started with your TOPPBOX subscription here.
