Treat Republic Printed Patterned Face Masks Review & Giveaway

As you probably know, it’s now mandatory to wear a face mask when visiting shops in England. To make this process a bit more fun for the person wearing a mask and the people around them (especially children), Treat Republic has launched a new fun Summer collection of face masks for both adults and kids.

These printed patterned face masks are less intimidating than medical style masks, making them perfect for the whole family. Treat Republic are also helping raise funds for NHS Charities Together by donating £1 for every mask they sell to support NHS Staff and volunteers.

“In these strange times we live in, many of us prefer to wear some form of face cover when we go outside our homes either to commute or to exercise. We’ve designed these printed face masks with a filter pocket to make them feel a little less intimidating and to provide a simple way of spreading a little hope, and creating a smile for others.”

For our kids we have the Kids Kitten Nose (my middle girl loves dressing up as a cat so she loves this!) and the Kids Stars that my eldest chose as her favourite. Mine is the adult rainbow one (of course) and my husband has the Navy Art Deco Pattern Design from a previous range as he wanted something more plain.

The masks are double-layered 100% Polyester Face Covers that you can wash and reuse over and over. They are a simple fabric design, made from high quality fabric that is soft and comfortable to wear. The ear loops are made from soft elastics too.

The two layers have a pouch to insert a replaceable PM2.5 Filter. The masks are not meant to be used for medical protection and should not be used to replace PPE. You get two filters with each mask and strap adjuster to make the mask more close fitting which is perfect for smaller children. Please see the image below to see how these work.

The masks come in plastic bags for hygiene reasons but you should wash them when you receive them too. Handwash with soap and water is recommended, then lay them out to dry. I put ours in the washing machine on a delicate quick wash cycle and that worked well too. They take about a day to dry.
