The Story of Impressionism 1000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle from LKP
|The Story of Impressionism 1000-piece Jigsaw Puzzle from LKP
As you might know, we recently got into building big 1000 jigsaw puzzles as a family hobby. Our second big jigsaw is another one from Laurence King Publishing and it’s another beautiful one!
The Story of Impressionism – Spot the Artists in Belle Époque Paris is a 1000-piece jigsaw by Marcel George who is a freelance illustrator living in London. He specialises in creating hand-painted contemporary watercolour illustrations and his clients include the big names Financial Times, Stella Artois and Anthropologie.
With this jigsaw, you get to piece together the Paris of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters and discover lots of people who helped shape the modern word through their art.
I love this gorgeous puzzle — the illustrations are lovely and I love the art theme. In this jigsaw, you can look for lots of famous artists as they create around Paris. Find Renoir, Monet, Oscar Wilde and many more.
If you’re into art and puzzles, you can find your next artsy jigsaw puzzle here.
“Raise a glass with Édouard Manet at the Folies Bergères. Take a front row seat for the Can-Can with Henri de Toulouse Lautrec at the Moulin Rouge. Get to the point with Georges Seurat on the banks of the Seine. And catch Edgar Degas sketching the ballerinas of the Paris Opera.”
There are so many interesting details, lots of people to look at and some quite difficult parts with similar houses and of course that clear blue sky without a cloud in sight.
I find The Story of Impressionism to be quite a summery puzzle with the bright and light colours. We started building the jigsaw on a table top without legs and took it outside to build in the garden which was a lovely weekend activity for us. My husband and I sat on a picnic mat with our new jigsaw as the children played with sand and bikes in the garden. They also love getting involved with the jigsaws but prefer to join in a bit closer to the end of the build.
If you’re into jigsaws too, definitely check out the quirky and fun range that Laurence King Publishing offers. You can find them in the Gifts section. They’re a great price at just £14.99 too.
