Winter Heroes from Superdrug – Vitamin E Facial Oil & Super Balm
As it gets colder, my skin tends to feel dry most days and I definitely need to up my skincare for autumn/winter. A product that I’ve been buying for a few years now is the Vitamin E Facial Oil from Superdrug and I’ve just bought it again for this year.
This oil comes in a small 30ml bottle and costs just £2.99. It’s a gorgeous facial oil that smells amazing and feels great on my skin. I massage it into my skin after my shower at night as this is when I wash my face. It sinks in quite quickly and makes my skin feel nourished and moisturised. The light oil penetrates the skin well and hydrates deeply and makes my skin feel soft and plump.
The scent is very soothing and I love treating myself to a little facial massage when I use this oil at night. I rub the excess oil into my hands to give them a pamper too.
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps revitalise and protect skin. The oil provides at least 12 hours of hydration but for me it lasts even longer. This product also helps combat the damaging effects of free radicals and protects skin against the environment. Hopefully all the goodness will help my skin stay looking young too. I always think it looks better the morning after I’ve used a facial oil for a quick facial massage!
I also like using a few drops of the Vitamin E Facial Oil mixed into my foundation for a dewy finish and a healthy glow.
Superdrug often have some great offers on skincare products and at the moment they have buy 1 get 1 half price on their Vitamin E range so of course I picked up another product at the same time. I’d never tried the Vitamin E Super Balm before but it sounded perfect for me, so I decided to give it a go.
The balm is a multi-purpose balm rich in vitamin E and antioxidants. It’s quite solid and a bit grainy at first but melts quickly when you touch it. The balm is made from pure plant oils and natural waxes plus shea butter. It can be used for lots of things like dry patches of skin, a lip balm, as a nail and cuticle balm or to soften elbows or heels.
I mainly use it for my lips and find that it’s really good to use before going to bed as a lip treatment that can do its thing overnight. The balm doesn’t have much of a taste which is great!
Since you can use it for so many things, it’s a great little product to pack when you’re travelling or to keep in your handbag. The small pot costs £3.99.
I think I need to check out the other Vitamin E products from Superdrug!
