Afternoon Tea at Lord’s Cricket Ground – Not Just For Christmas
I love afternoon tea and everything about it but have only had it from one place here in Sheffield. The place I usually go to is very nice and the afternoon tea is delicious but for a special treat, the afternoon tea at Lord’s Cricket Ground sounds amazing! It looks a bit different from my local place which is very small and hidden on a tiny backstreet.
Afternoon Tea at Lord’s Cricket Ground is available all year round. You can also purchase gift vouchers for a Lord’s festive themed afternoon tea priced at £54 or £65 with Champagne, or traditional afternoon tea at £46 or with a glass of Champagne for £57.
The traditional cream tea comes with all the trimmings, including freshly baked scones with homemade jam and Cornish clotted cream, and a selection of finger sandwiches and dainties, and the Christmas afternoon tea will include festive-themed delights.
This can all be enjoyed in the iconic Long Room with commanding views over the Ground’s outfield and the architecturally significant and award winning JP Morgan Media Centre and a short tour of the Pavilion and the MCC Museum is included too.
I know Christmas is a while away yet but time flies by and soon it will be December! I would love to receive this as a gift or to give it to my mum and go together. It sounds absolutely amazing — luxurious, fun and scrumptious!
It’s a formal high tea and there is a dress code that you need to respect but that just adds to the special feel of the occasion in my opinion.
