Beauty Cabinet Spring Clean – Weleda’s #CleanerBeauty Campaign
I’ve been interested in natural beauty products for a long time as I find that they work better for me and also love the fact that they’re better for the environment too. Recently, reducing waste has become a big interest of mine too and that change on mindset has meant buying fewer beauty and skincare products and focussing one the ones that really work for me and my skin and that come in more eco-friendly packaging too.
As part of Weleda’s #CleanerBeauty campaign, I’m thinking about what cleaner beauty means to me. My conclusion is that I’m looking for products with natural ingredients that are gentle on my skin and kind to the environment and that come in minimal and recyclable packaging.
Weleda is a brand that I choose often because I know that their products are packed with nourishing and natural ingredients. I’ve only had good experiences using their products and also appreciate how the products are packaged — many of the skincare products come in metal tubes or glass bottles which is exactly what I’m looking for.
Some of my all-time favourite Weleda products are the ones from the Aknedoron range which treat acne and breakouts very effectively without harming my skin or causing any irritation. I’m not suffering from breakouts at the moment but I always go back to Aknedoron if I’m going through a spotty phase!
Now that my skin is calmer, I love using Weleda’s Almond Soothing Facial Oil or the Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream as my face moisturiser and one of their body oils for my body. The Sea Buckthorn Body Oil is my favourite but the Arnica Massage Oil is ideal for sore shoulders or tired legs after a long day.
My beauty cabinet has had a spring clean and I’m embracing #CleanerBeauty and choosing my skincare products more wisely, for myself and the environment.
