CurrentBody Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask Introduction
This new blue LED light therapy mask is designed to help you achieve blemish-free, clear skin at home. The CurrentBody Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask is ideal for anyone who suffers from mild to moderate acne or regular breakouts.
Why use blue LED light therapy face mask for acne?
You might be wondering – what does a blue LED light mask do? This mask combines two clinically proven wavelengths of LED lights – blue (415nm) and red (633nm). Blue light therapy is proven to eliminate blemish-causing bacteria while red light therapy is proven to reduce inflammation and calm redness. Together, they work more effectively to target blemishes compared to blue light on its own. The combination of red and blue light is the reason why the lights look pink/purple on this mask.
What does a blue LED face mask do?
The CurrentBody Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask offers complete coverage to treat breakouts across the whole face. It also helps to control oil production, to calm irritated skin, and to reduce shine and redness.
The LED mask for acne features a patented pillow technology that enhances the distribution of the LED wavelengths for even coverage. Each LED bulb is embedded in the transparent silicone case within the mask which helps to diffuse the light for even better coverage – which means better results.

CurrentBody Blue LED Face Mask – How to Use
The CurrentBody Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask is really easy to use. The brand recommends that you first conduct a sensitivity test to ensure that the product is suitable for your skin. After that, follow the steps below:
- Cleanse and dry your skin.
- Attach the mask securely around your head and adjust the straps to ensure that it’s comfortable. Make sure that you use the eye inserts and the protective goggles.
- Switch on the mask, sit or lay down and relax for 10 minutes for your at-home LED light therapy session.
- After 10 minutes, remove the mask, wipe clean and store until next time.
- Continue with your skincare routine as usual.
How often should you use a CurrentBody LED mask?
CurrentBody recommend that you use this mask 3 to 5 times for 6 weeks for the best results. After 6 weeks of consecutive use, they recommend that you give your skin a short break of 1 to 2 weeks before the next 6-week rotation.
The team at CurrentBody recommend that the LED anti-blemish mask is only used when you have active breakouts. This is because the blue light in the mask is absorbed by the bacteria in the active acne – if there are no active acne the blue light will just be absorbed into the skin which won’t offer many benefits. If your skin is currently clear, CurrentBody’s regular red light LED mask is the best choice for giving your skin a treat.

My Experience using the CurrentBody Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask
A bit of background first. I used to suffer from mild acne in my late teens/early twenties. This then changed to hormonal acne with breakouts that were more clearly related to different parts of my cycle. I’m now in my mid-thirties and still have hormonal breakouts but not as bad as a few years ago. I still get breakouts around ovulation and before/during my period. Often, they can be painful and take long to heal which is why I was keen to try the new Anti-Blemish LED Light Therapy Face Mask.
I have followed CurrentBody’s advice to only use the mask when having active breakouts and I have noticed that the healing time of active breakouts have improved hugely and that the amount of breakouts that I’ve had during this time has been reduced significantly too.
The mask itself is simple to use but the lights are very bright which is why it’s so important to use the protective goggles and eye shields. I also keep my eyes closed during the treatment.
CurrentBody Blue LED Light Therapy Face Mask Buying Options
You can purchase the Anti-Blemish LED Mask on its own for £299, as a Anti-Blemish LED Mask & Neck Kit for £510, and as a Special Anti-Blemish LED Kit for £360. Remember to use my CurrentBody discount code “PETRACB” for 10% off which will mean a great saving.
I got the mask as part of the Anti-Blemish LED Mask & Neck Kit. Being in my mid-thirties, caring for the skin on my neck and décolletage is an important part of my skincare routine. This is why I chose this kit that works on my hormonal breakouts while also improving the skin on my neck/décolletage – an area that is often one of the first to show ageing.
Let’s have a look at the included CurrentBody LED Neck & Décolletage Mask below.
CurrentBody LED Neck & Décolletage Mask Review
The CurrentBody LED Neck & Décolletage Mask, or the LED Neck & Dec Perfector, is a red light therapy mask for your neck and chest.
The mask uses red and near-infrared light to deliver anti-ageing effects to this area. Using this product increases skin firmness, reduces volume of wrinkles, targets crepey skin, and visibly improves the appearance of skin tone and sun damage.
The LED Neck & Décolletage Mask features 50 LEDs that emit red at 633nm and infrared at 830nm. These are the two most clinically recognised wavelengths for anti-ageing. Red light is excellent for boosting collagen production and reducing signs of ageing while infrared light energises the cells below the skin for a tighter and brighter complexion.
This mask features CurrentBody’s patented pillow technology for great coverage for maximum results. It’s comfortable to wear whilst getting on with other tasks and easy to use.
I have been careful with sun exposure for most of my adult life so don’t have a huge amount of ageing signs in this area. I’m keen to start early to reverse the very first visible signs of ageing on my neck and décolletage though and this is the perfect tool for this. After just a month of use, I can see that my skin is looking healthier and more youthful.
How to use the LED Neck & Décolletage Mask
You can use the Neck & Dec Mask 3-5 times a week for 10 minutes each time. Follow these steps:
- Cleanse your skin and pat dry.
- Apply a few drops of the CurrentBody Skin Green Tea Serum to the area to supercharge results.
- Attach the straps to the device and secure around your neck.
- Switch on and start your 10-minute treatment.
- Once complete, remove the device and wipe clean, ready for storing until next time.
I am very happy with both of these innovative skincare devices and feel well-equipped to target both hormonal breakouts and signs of ageing.
